Kabutops @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpAtk)
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Speed

-Waterfall
-Superpower / Swords Dance
-Rapid Spin
-Stone Edge

So Kabutops is pretty much the best offensive Rapid Spinner in the whole Uber tier (barring, of course, Sand Stream Excadrill, but Sand is rarely seen in the rain dominated tier.) Kabutops can both revenge, sweep, and spin with the combination of it's high attack, rain boosted STAB, and access to Swords Dance. It beats Xatu by spinning away hazards or OHKOing with a Stone Edge. Alternatively, it can boost up and threaten a sweep on the opposing team.

(ps ferrothorn doesnt counter this)

poppy edit: don't post giratina

Gastrodon
Ability: Storm Drain
Nature: Calm
Item: Leftovers
252 HP / 168 Def / 88 SpD

-Scald
-Recover
-Toxic
-Earth Power

Gastrodon can easily stomach anything Kabutops can throw at it. A Superpower does 40.1% - 47.4% which can be easily Recovered off and after the Attack drop caused due to Superpower Kabutops is never going to sweep Gastrodon ever. If you're curious about the Stone Edge damage, a +2 Stone Edge does 50.5% - 59.4%. Gastrodon can simply stroll in on a Waterfall, get a Special Attack boost and fire off a Scald. In rain, after a boost, Scald does 92.7% - 109.2%, which will notch up an assured OHKO with Life Orb recoil.

Apart from this, Gastrodon can completely stop most Kyogre variants in their tracks. Modest Choice Scarf Kyogre does 26.3% - 31% with Ice Beam and gets Toxiced. Gastrodon is also competent at stopping Choice Scarf Palkia taking 41.5% - 48.8% and is never 2HKOed by 56 SpA Dialga Draco Meteor since it takes 55.6% - 65.7%. I invested a lot in Defense to be a rock hard Kabutops check but you can easily run more SpD EVs and ditch the Def EVs. However, Support Groudon does only 39.7% - 47.2% with Earthquake while Scarf Terrakion manages only 50.7% - 59.9% with Close Combat.

Not sure if this has been posted or not, if it did, sorry...(Edit: Just scroll through quickly and realize the exact same set has been posted, and I don't think I have seen Palkia, since it can counter Gastrodon just as well, I switched from Specs Dialga to Palkia@@@ Really can't believe we have not used Palkia yet...)

Palkia
Nature: Timid
Item: Choice Specs
4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd

-Draco Meteor
-Fire Blast
-Thunder
-Surf/Sprial Rend

This Palkia can come in anything Gastrodon throws at it, not care too much about scald burn Earth power or even Toxic, and OHKO back with Specs Draco Meteor. Other than countering Gastrodon, it can punch holes into teams in general. Spam DM and things not name Chansey/Blissey or steel will die. Moreover, it also has great bulk to take a hit or two and strike again. Most importantly, it can switch in the King of Uber, Kyogre, with ease and use Thunder to strike it down. Even steel type has to be aware of its coverage moves since they don't like taking Fire Blast (Ferrothorn, Skarm, Scizor etc) or Surf (Heatran) depends on the weather. It is also nice to have 100 base spd to outspeed the common 90s uber

Chansey @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
Nature: Calm (+Sdef, -Atk)
4 HP / 252 Def / 252 Sdef

-Wish
-Protect
-Heal Bell
-Toxic

Given Specs Palkia's immense power, the only real counter is Chansey. Chansey's bulk with eviolite is so great that the strongest attack Specs Palkia can throw at it is a rain-boosted Surf, which only manages to deal 32.86% at maximum, allowing Chansey to switch in, use Wish, and either protect if they stay in or act accordingly otherwise. Chansey also has an extraordinary ability to support her team with Wish and Heal Bell, assisting many tanks like Groudon, Kyogre, and Dialga in staying healthy. Seeing as it sponges special hits like nobody's business, it's best to pair Chansey with a sturdy physical wall that resists or is immune to Fighting-type attacks, such as Lugia or Ghost Arceus.

Arceus@leftovers
4HP/252Atk/252Spe
Adamant/Jolly

-Extremespeed
-Swords Dance
-Brick Break
-Substitute

Standard Extremekiller, but with substitute too block chanseys toxic. From there on, arceus can get all the way to +6 with swords dance and attempt a sweep. Leftovers helps regain lost HP from substitutes. This Arceus can be effectively played as a last mon standing, setting up all over its biggest counter skarmory, since it is turned into setup fodder and can only taunt arceus, several times I see my oponent type 'GG' when Arceus is my last mon, only for them to be horrified when I sub on them and prevent toxic, as skarmory will eventually run out of roosts and be defeated, allowing Arceus too continue its rampage.

Sableye @Leftovers
252 Def/ 252 SpD/6 HP
Careful/Bold
Ability: Prankster
Confuse Ray
Will-O-Wisp
Substitute
Recover

Man, oh man, you would be screwed anyway. Sableye could shut this thing down for the rest of the match with Will-O-Wisp, and it has Prankster to bypass the sub. Confuse Ray is also another way to screw it over. Granted, if Heal Bell was used, that could pose a problem. But Sableye is immune to everything anyway.

Tornadus @ Life Orb
Ability: Prankster
Nature: Naive (+Spd, -Sdef)
40 Atk / 212 Satk / 252 Spd

-Taunt
-Tailwind
-Hurricane
-Hammer Arm

While Tornadus is extremely rare in Ubers, it actually has quite a few uses that allow it to compete for a teamslot. Prankster Taunt and Tailwind allow Tornadus to shut down stall (including Sableye) and regain momentum for its offensive partners. This can also comfortably switch into any move that Sableye has bar Confuse Ray, although a burn can be slightly detrimental to its operation. Hurricane is its auxilary STAB attack, hitting much of the tier hard. Hammer Arm is mostly filler, but it allows it to OHKO 252/0 Tyranitar and 2HKO offensive Dialga.

Arceus-Electric@Zap Plate
Timid
252HP/72SpDef/184Spe
Thunder
Ice Beam
Will-O-Wisp
Recover

Another rarely seen threat in the interests of keeping things varied, but being an Arceus Forme it's obviously nothing to sneeze at. I've actually run a different variety of this set in the past and it works quite nicely, and kicks the shit out of that Tornadus. Both Hurricane and Hammer Arm deal pathetic damage, dealing a max of 25.4% and 25% respectively. The Speed EVs allow it to outspeed and pull off a Recover if needs be before being taunted (EDIT: Derp Prankster) at which point it's free to fire off a Thunder for the easy KO. HP provides a large boost to general bulk, with the remainder going into SpDef. Ice Beam is Ice Beam, great coverage paired with an electric move and especially so in ubers, Will-O-Wisp puts Groudon and Zekrom back on the leash (Adamant 252Att Groudon fails to 2HKO with Earthquake when burned, for example) and Recover provides longevity.

So this has been going in circles quite a few times already, and it is bound to go like that due to the low amount of viable Pokemon in Ubers comparing to other tiers. Therefore, we, Ubers DST mods, have decided to recreate this thread but only as a teambuilder. You simply teambuild against the opponent team, knowing the progress and all. Cool, uh?

Fun as it was, the new thread will be much better.
