Palafin's powerful priority offense and pivoting make it a dangerous threat even with its standard ability. Jet Punch from Palafin-H easily revenge kills dangerous threats like Kilowattrel, Sandy Shocks, and Talonflame, as well as Chien-Pao after minor chip damage. Palafin is heavily hampered by Desolate Land; to take down their users, Zen Headbutt from Palafin-H easily OHKOes Iron Moth and 2HKOes Ceruledge, while Close Combat flings Cinderace into the sun. Pivoting teammates such as Kilowattrel, Meowscarada, and Corviknight not only form dangerous pivoting cores with Palafin, but also position it to both activate Zero to Hero and fire off its powerful Jet Punch. Due to its frequent need to switch and reliance on a recoil move to wallbreak, Palafin requires effective entry hazard removers like Corviknight and Donphan; WishPass Scream Tail is also a great teammate to heal off chip damage. Even with its strong coverage moves, Palafin struggles mightily against opposing Desolate Land, so reliable switch-ins like Well-Baked Body Slither Wing are strongly recommended. Palafin struggles against Dondozo, making teammates that can punish it like Meowscarada and Spikes Garchomp good additions.

Partners with pivoting moves such as Kilowattrel, Meowscarada, and Corviknight not only form dangerous pivoting cores with Palafin, but also get it into position to both activate Zero to Hero and fire off its powerful Jet Punch. Due to its frequent need to switch and reliance on a recoil move to wallbreak, Palafin requires effective entry hazard removal like Corviknight and Donphan. (I also rlly liked having partnered Scream Tail for WishPass because there's no recovery otherwise) Even with its strong coverage moves, Palafin struggles mightily into opposing Desolate Land, so reliable switch-ins like Well-Baked Body Slither Wing are strongly recommended.

Even with its strong coverage moves, Palafin struggles mightily into opposing Desolate Land, so reliable switch-ins like Well-Baked Body Slither Wing are strongly recommended. maybe mention some support for stuff like dozo or gyara given they're reasonably on the VR (something like meowscarada or spikes chomp or something), random wabsorb stuff like dirge is also annoying but there's not really anything you can write for it besides "cope"
