Swords Dance Sweeper (Chien-Pao) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Sword of Ruin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Icicle Crash / Crunch
- Sacred Sword / Brick Break
- Sucker Punch

[SET COMMENTS]
Chien-Pao's high Speed, solid Attack, and good offensive typing allow it to be a very potent setup sweeper. Icicle Crash is preferred over Ice Spinner for its flinch chance and higher power, the latter of which, among other things, allows it to always 2HKO Sableye and bulky Great Tusk, while Ice Spinner may miss out on these 2HKOes. Crunch allows Chien-Pao to hit Skeledirge and Gholdengo, two problematic Pokemon for Ice teams. Sacred Sword and Brick Break both allow Chien-Pao to threaten Dark-, Steel-, and Ice-types such as Kingambit and opposing Chien-Pao. Sacred Sword is stronger and comes with the ability to ignore Defense boosts, while Brick Break comes with the very useful ability to remove Reflect and Light Screen, which is extremely helpful against teams with Grimmsnarl or Klefki support. Sucker Punch is significantly stronger then Ice Shard and allows Chien-Pao to hit Pokemon like Gholdengo, Scizor, and Flutter Mane. Psychic Fangs is an alternate option over Sacred Sword or Brick Break to hit Toxapex and Fighting-types such as Tauros-Paldea-Blaze.

This set very much appreciates Aurora Veil support from Abomasnow, as it allows Chien-Pao to set up on many Pokemon that would otherwise threaten it out as well as allowing it to survive revenge kills from the likes of Choice Scarf Meowscarada and Extreme Speed Dragonite. Spikes support from Froslass is also greatly appreciated, as they wear down Pokemon that may otherwise be difficult for Chien-Pao, such as Dondozo and Klefki. Although Chien-Pao is able to fit on practically any team, it pairs especially well with other powerful sweepers such as Baxcalibur and Cloyster, weakening or even knocking out their checks such as Air Balloon Gholdengo or Skeledirge. Baxcalibur in particular can take on Pokemon such as Toxapex and Tauros-Paldea-Blaze with a powerful Earthquake, allowing Chien-Pao to knock them out and sweep the opposing team. Baxcalibur's Thermal Exchange also allows it to switch into the burns that would cripple Chien-Pao, as well as being an emergency switch-in to a Fire attack, and Choice Band Baxcalibur pressures Chien-Pao answers such as Quagsire and Corviknight. Shell Smash Cloyster appreciates the removal of Skeledirge and Froslass.

Ability: Sword of Ruin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature

- Icicle Crash
- Brick Break / Sacred Sword
- Sucker Punch

[SET COMMENTS]
This set foregoes sweeping potential in favor of being a potent midgame threat, powerful wallbreaker, and good lategame cleaner. Additionally, unlike the Swords Dance set, this set is capable of breaking through physically defensive Pokemon such as Corviknight and Quagsire, both of whom tend to be tough matchups for many other Ice staples. Sacred Sword and Brick Break provide crucial coverage for Pokemon such as Kingambit and opposing Chien-Pao, while Sucker Punch allows Chien-Pao to knock out faster Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Gholdengo. Icicle Crash is preferred over Ice Spinner for its flinch chance and slightly higher power, notably being favored to 2HKO Azumarill and OHKO offensive Pelipper, neither of which Ice Spinner is capable of.

This set heavily appreciates Spikes from Froslass to wear down its switchins, sometimes allowing it to grab KOs it would otherwise miss out on; for example, Crunch always 2HKOes physically defensive Toxapex with 1 layer of Spikes, but is favored to not 2HKO without any Spikes. Rapid Spin support from Avalugg is also appreciated, allowing Chien-Pao more opportunities to enter the field. Since this set focuses more on opening holes in teams rather than outright sweeping, setup sweepers are excellent partners with it, as Chien-Pao can dent or remove their checks to allow the sweep to happen much easier. Shell Smash Cloyster in particular appreciates Chien-Pao's ability to beat Gholdengo and chunk other Pokemon such as Corviknight that Cloyster may otherwise struggle to break through. Dragon Dance Baxcalibur appreciates this set's ability to 2HKO Quagsire and physically defensive Corviknight, who normally would stop Baxcalibur in its tracks. Finally, Belly Drum Cetitan appreciates this set's ability to break Unaware walls such as Skeledirge and Quagsire, and Cetitan in return acts as speed control if Snow is in effect, aiding in this set's weakness to Choice Scarf users such as Iron Moth.

Chien-Pao's high Speed, solid Attack boosted to sky-high levels by Sword of Ruin, and good offensive typing allow it to be a very potent setup sweeper. Icicle Crash is theits preferred Ice move over Ice Spinner due to its slightly higher power and the 30% flinch chance sometimes allowing it to cheese out KOs if needed, compared to Ice Spinner's rarely useful secondary effect; however, Ice Spinner can still be run if more reliability is preferred. Sacred Sword and Brick Break are both good coverage options allowing Chien-Pao to hit Dark-, Steel-, and Ice-types such as Kingambit, opposing Chien-Pao, and Klefki for higher damage than its STAB moves would. Brick Break is especially useful against those types, as Dark, opposing Ice, and some Steel teams tend to have screens up, allowing Brick Break's screens-shattering effect to be very useful. Sacred Sword boasts significantly higher power and the ability to ignore Defense boosts. This allows it to hit Defence-boosth finish off Pokemong setup sweepers such as Bulk Up Corviknight even if they have several boosts. Psychic Fangs is very usefula niche option to hit Toxapex and Fighting-types such as Tauros-Paldea-Blaze and -Aqua, but generally Sacred Sword and Brick Break's wider range of targets make them a better choice. Cloyster's neutrality to Fire moves also allows it to switch in to them, although its low Special Defense means that it is relegated to switching into physical Fire moves. Cloyster is also able to threaten out said Fire-types with a strong Hydro Pump or Rock Blast, possibly allowing Chien-Pao an easier Swords Dance. Rotom-Frost can force out bulky Water-types that Chien-Pao struggles to break through and provides pivoting support with Volt Switch, giving Chien-Pao more opportunities.

Ice Shard is more viable -Pao to knock out faster Pokemon this set due to the set's ability to run Dark STAB besides Sucker Punchuch as Choice Scarf Gholdengo. Icicle Crash is the preferred Ice move over Ice Spinner due to its slightly higher power and the 30% flinch chance, compared to Ice Spinner's rarely useful secondary effect; however, Ice Spinner can still be run if more reliability is preferred. (This feels more vague, try to explain in simple terms saying Icicle crash has more power but Ice spinner is better as crash has the risk of missing and helps with removing terrains too if u have to mention about ice spinner). Sacred Sword and Brick Break are both good coverage options allowing Chien-Pao to hit Dark-, Steel-, and Ice-types such as Kingambit, opposing Chien-Pao, and Klefki for higher damage than its STAB moves would. Sacred Sword boasts significantly higher power and the ability to ignore Defense boosts. Brick Break is especially useful against Dark, opposing Ice, and some Steel teams, as they tend to have Reflect and Light Screen or Aurora Veil users, allowing Brick Break's screens-shattering effect to be very useful. (Same this also very vague, try to explain short and crisp, sacred sword is used to hit dark, steel and ice types which has a secondary effect of ignoring the defense boosts, alternatively brick break can be used to break the screens set by grimmsnarl and Klefki). Sucker Punch is the priority move of choice over Ice Shard, as Sucker Punch is significantly stronger and allows Chien-Pao to hit Pokemon like Gholdengo and Skeledirge (Skeledirge is more defensive and sucker punch doesnt help here coz u risk more of burning pao. Instead you can mention specs dragapult and Fluttermane) . Alternatively Crunch is also usable in this moveslot as stronger and more reliable Dark STAB, but the resulting inability to hit many Scarfers or Dragapult makes it a suboptimal option. Chien-Pao's high Speed, solid Attack, and good offensive typing allow it to be a very potent setup sweeper. Icicle Crash provides slightly higher power and a potentially useful flinch chance at the cost of imperfect accuracy, while Ice Spinner is more reliable at the cost of lower power and a slightly less useful secondary effect of removing terrain. (no need to mention Icicle Crash/Ice Spinner line, unless you have a damage roll that crash gets but Spinner doesnt). Mention Crunch here too as its one of the ways Ice deals with Skele/Gholdengo which suck for this type) Sacred Sword and Brick Break both allow Chien-Pao to threaten Dark-, Steel-, and Ice-types such as Kingambit and opposing Chien-Pao. Sacred Sword is stronger and comes with the ability to ignore Defense boosts, while Brick Break comes with the very useful ability to remove Reflect and Light Screen, which is extremely helpful against teams with Grimmsnarl or Klefki support. Crunch is also usable in this moveslot as stronger and more reliable Dark STAB, but the resulting inability to hit many Scarfers or Dragapult makes it a suboptimal option (its supposed to replace the first 2 moves, since priority is almost always needed for Pao.). Psychic Fangs is an alternate option over Sacred Sword or Brick Break to hit Toxapex and Fighting-types such as Tauros-Paldea-Blaze. Baxcalibur's Thermal Exchange also allows it to switch into the burns that would cripple Chien-Pao, as well as being an emergency switch-in to a Fire attack (Band Bax is great with SD Pao, as it breaks Quagsire, Corv, and Pex which can wall it without the necessary moves). Cloyster's neutrality to Fire moves also allows it to switch in to them, although its low Special Defense means that it is relegated to switching into physical Fire moves (Focus on Shell Smash Cloy capitalizing on Pao killing walls for it, like Skele [which doesnt care unless cloy has hydro]). Chien-Pao's high Speed, solid Attack accentuated by Sword of Ruin, (maybe you could give its ability a mention?) and good offensive typing allow it to be a very potent setup sweeper. Icicle Crash is preferred over Ice Spinner for its flinch chance and higher power Base Power, the latter of which,—among other things,—allows it to always 2HKO Sableye and bulky Great Tusk, while Ice Spinner may miss out on these 2HKOes 2HKOs. Psychic Fangs is an alternate alternative option over to Sacred Sword or Brick Break to hit that hits Toxapex and Fighting-types such as Tauros-Paldea-Blaze Paldean Tauros-F. (this sentence was moved to reflect the move order of the set) Sucker Punch is significantly stronger then than Ice Shard and allows Chien-Pao to hit Pokemon like Gholdengo, Scizor, and Flutter Mane.

This set heavily appreciates Spikes from Froslass to wear wearing down its switchins switch-ins, sometimes allowing it to grab KOs it would otherwise miss out on; for example, Crunch always 2HKOes physically defensive Toxapex with 1 layer of Spikes, but it is favored to not 2HKO without any Spikes. Rapid Spin support from Avalugg is also appreciated, allowing as it allows Chien-Pao more opportunities to enter the field. Since this set focuses more on opening holes in teams rather than outright sweeping, setup sweepers are excellent partners with for it, as Chien-Pao can dent or remove their checks to allow the sweep to happen much easier. Shell Smash Cloyster in particular appreciates Chien-Pao's ability to beat Gholdengo and chunk significantly damage other Pokemon such as Corviknight that Cloyster may otherwise struggle to break through. Dragon Dance Baxcalibur appreciates this set's Chien-Pao's ability to 2HKO Quagsire and physically defensive Corviknight, who which normally would stop Baxcalibur in its tracks. Finally, Belly Drum Cetitan appreciates this set's Chien-Pao's ability to break Unaware walls such as Skeledirge and Quagsire, and; in return, Cetitan in return acts as speed control if Snow is in effect, aiding in this set's Chien-Pao's weakness to Choice Scarf users such as Iron Moth.

[SET COMMENTS]
Chien-Pao's high Speed, solid Attack, and good offensive typing allow it to be a very potent setup sweeper. Crunch allows Chien-Pao to hit Skeledirge and Gholdengo,—two problematic Pokemon for Ice teams. Sacred Sword and Brick Break both allow Chien-Pao to threaten Dark-, Steel-, and Ice-types such as Kingambit and opposing Chien-Pao. Sacred Sword is stronger and comes with the ability to ignore Defense boosts, while Brick Break comes with the very useful ability to remove removes Reflect and Light Screen, which is extremely helpful against teams with support from Grimmsnarl or Klefki support. Psychic Fangs is an alternate alternative option over to Sacred Sword or Brick Break to hit Toxapex and Fighting-types such as Tauros-Paldea-Blaze Paldean Tauros-F. (this sentence was moved to reflect the move order of the set) Sucker Punch is significantly stronger then than Ice Shard and allows Chien-Pao to hit Pokemon like Gholdengo, Scizor, and Flutter Mane.

This set very much appreciates Aurora Veil support from Abomasnow, as it allows Chien-Pao to set up on many Pokemon that would otherwise threaten it out as well as allowing it to survive revenge kills killing attempts from the likes of Choice Scarf Meowscarada and Extreme Speed Dragonite. Spikes support from Froslass is also greatly appreciated, as they wear down Pokemon that may otherwise be difficult for Chien-Pao to break, such as Dondozo and Klefki. Although Chien-Pao is able to fit on practically any team, it pairs especially well with other powerful sweepers such as Baxcalibur and Cloyster, weakening or even knocking out KOing their checks such as Air Balloon Gholdengo and or Skeledirge. Baxcalibur in particular can take on Pokemon such as Toxapex and Tauros-Paldea-Blaze Paldean Tauros-F with a powerful Earthquake, allowing Chien-Pao to knock them out KO them and sweep the opposing team.; (period to semicolon) furthermore, Choice Band Baxcalibur pressures Chien-Pao answers such as Quagsire and Corviknight. (I think it makes more sense to put this remark here, where it is explained how Baxcalibur can help Chien-Pao offensively rather than defensively) Baxcalibur's Thermal Exchange also allows it to switch into the burns Will-O-Wisp that would cripple Chien-Pao, (remove comma) as well as being be an emergency switch-in to a Fire Fire-type attack, and Choice Band Baxcalibur pressures Chien-Pao answers such as Quagsire and Corviknight. Shell Smash Cloyster appreciates the removal of Skeledirge and Froslass.

[SET COMMENTS]
This set foregoes sweeping potential in favor of being Choice Band Chien-Pao is (avoid cross-referencing sets) a potent midgame mid-game threat, powerful wallbreaker, and good lategame late-game cleaner. Additionally, unlike the Swords Dance set, this set it is capable of breaking through physically defensive Pokemon such as Corviknight and Quagsire, both of whom which (use "which", "that", and "it" to refer to Pokemon) tend to be tough matchups for many other Ice staples. Icicle Crash is preferred over Ice Spinner for its flinch chance and slightly higher power Base Power, notably being favored to 2HKO Azumarill and OHKO offensive Pelipper, neither of which are feats Ice Spinner is capable of. WrathoftheLeopard overall, your knowledge of grammar seems solid, but the biggest thing is to avoid making unnecessary subjective changes. As GP, you want to preserve the voice of the writer as much as possible, so their work can be up on site in their own words as much as possible. You want to make sure you're checking what's in the analysis and not what you'd personally write if this was your own analysis; what sounds better to you may not sound better to the writer, so try to avoid taking their choices away particularly with small one-word changes. For future checks, I'd recommend only focusing on objective errors, and make sure any subjective edits have a need behind them. If it's fine, it's fine!

- The first change raises a key point: as GP, you should never add or remove analysis content. Content has been checked by QC teams before, so it's assumed to be accurate. If you're adding or taking away things without being QC, you've removed the "QC stamp of approval" in a sense because the content they checked and the content after GP are different. If you have any questions about the content, you can leave a comment, but don't directly add or remove things. The writer and QC team didn't mention Sword of Ruin, so it shouldn't be added in a GP check.
- There's no need to remove 'very' in 'very potent setup sweeper' - this removes the writer's choice of descriptor for how good the Pokemon is, and it also slightly alters the content by removing that descriptor and now underselling it.
- 'To hit' doesn't need to be changed to 'that hits' - both are functionally similar, and thisreally comes down to preference, which means deferring to the writer's choice.
- 'Spikes support from Froslass is appreciated' is absolutely fine here, and I'd even say it's better than the change of 'Spikes from Froslass are appreciated.' Small one word subjective changes over the course of an analysis can alter the prose a lot, so if something is fine, defer to the writer.
- 'Weakening or even knocking out' is a fire structure; you'd just need to change knocking out to KOing. There's no need to restructure that clause.
- 'Such as' doesn't need to be changed to 'like' - this is up to the preferences of the writer.
- I'm really not sure why you added Froslass to the list of checks - this seems like content that was just added by you because it's now linked to a different point, and this could be false or misleading because it's not QC approved. I don't really understand how Froslass is supposed to check Baxcalibur at all, so even if it does check Cloyster, it doesn't fit there. You could leave a comment to the writer about this, but avoid making the changes yourself to prevent content changes.
- There's no need to change 'take on' to 'weaken' here either - they're functionally the same, and it's just the writer's word choice.
- The comma in the Break Break/Sacred Sword sentence of the Choice Band set was correct - commas before 'while' are needed when 'while' means 'whereas.' Commas aren't needed when it means 'at the same time as,' which wouldn't make sense in this context, so the comma is needed. I changed while -> and here because the sentence gives the false impression that you'd drop one of those moves for Sucker Punch, so I removed the contrast with while meaning whereas entirely and changed to and.
- Spikes 'to wear' and 'wearing' are both fine, so there's no need to make the change here.
- 'Allowing' and 'as it allows' are both fine, so there's no need to change one to the other.
- Weather conditions (sun, rain, sand, snow) aren't capitalised.
