Thundurus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 24 HP / 228 SpA / 104 SpD / 152 Spe
Modest Nature
- Agility
- Thunder
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Focus Blast
Thundurus-T rains lightning from the heavens as the premier rain wallbreaker in BW OU! After using Agility, Thundurus-T outspeeds the entire metagame, and threatens massive damage with its perfectly accurate Thunder in rain. Thundurus-T's coverage options enable it to hit many of the common Pokemon that resist Electric, such as Garchomp and Ferrothorn. With Stealth Rock on the opposing side of the field, +2 Thundurus-T is capable of completely destroying common weatherless hyper offense teams, generally consisting of Pokemon like Breloom, Volcarona, Dragonite, Garchomp, Scizor, and Starmie. The given EVs enable Thundurus-T to outspeed Adamant Excadrill prior to boosting while surviving unboosted Draco Meteor from Latios. This set fits best on rain offense teams, and as such Drizzle support from Politoed is mandatory. Rapid Spin support from Tentacruel can alleviate Thundurus-T's Stealth Rock weakness, while Ferrothorn can provide entry hazard support while being a bulwark against opposing Latios.
