Keldeo @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 2 Atk / 30 Def
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Protect
- Hidden Power Ice

3 Attacks + Protect Keldeo uses its sharp horn to cleave through sand teams' otherwise problematic offense matchups. Using its strong coverage coupled with its high Special Attack and Speed, it outspeeds and threatens hyper offense structures. Its decent bulk and resistances also make it a passable answer to common sweepers like Shell Smash Cloyster, Quiver Dance Volcarona lacking Giga Drain or Psychic, and Swords Dance Scizor. Alongside its powerful STAB attacks, Hidden Power Ice is useful to hit Garchomp, Dragonite, and Breloom super effectively. Protect alongside Leftovers lets Keldeo regain health in a weatherless matchup, rack up damage from Scald burns, and scout and condition Choiced attackers like Latios, Keldeo, and Garchomp. Pursuit Tyranitar is one of its most common teammates; in addition to trapping common checks like Jellicent and Latios, it sets sand damage that stacks with Keldeo's burns. However, although Protect Keldeo is immensely helpful in matchups against hyper offense, it struggles to accomplish as much against sand teams containing strong checks like Gastrodon, Reuniclus, and Jellicent.

I feel like these sentences can be merged.

Although Protect Keldeo is immensely helpful in matchups against hyper offense, it must be wary of Pokemon that withstand its coverage like Starmie and Latias, who take advantage of it via Rapid Spin or setting dual screens respectively, as well as Yache Berry users like Dragonite and Garchomp.
I'd shift this part to be more so about how bulkier sand teams are harder for this set to break since they use stuff that this set can't break, like Reuniclus and Gastrodon.

Besides that 1/1
