[SET COMMENTS]
Bibarel efficiently sets up and prevents entry hazards early in games with its above average Speed and access to Stealth Rock and Taunt. Opposing Stealth Rock setters like Solrock and Lairon are thwarted in getting their hazards up due to Taunt, and Bibarel’s Scald 2HKOs both of them. Bibarel can opt to run Surf instead of Scald to KO Simisear and Solrock and 2HKO Mienfoo. However, Scald burns are more valuable for ruining physical attackers like Leafeon and Emolga or disrupting walls like Wormdam-S and Meganium, often causing more damage than Surf in the long run. Staryu, the best and only relevant hazard remover in the tier, is 2HKOed by Bibarel’s Thunderbolt. Bibarel can run Thunder to OHKO Kingler, but Thunderbolt's accuracy and ample power to beat Staryu make it the better option for Bibarel as a lead.

Bibarel fits best on hyper offense teams, which are suited for specialized leads due to their pace. Setup sweepers like Nasty Plot Simisear and Swords Dance Leafeon appreciate Rock-weak revenge killers like Emolga, opposing Simisear, and Choice Scarf Glaceon taking Stealth Rock damage every time they switch in. Bibarel tends to invite in Grass-types like Leafeon and Meganium, meaning Emolga, Simisear, Pawniard, Muk, and Arbok can all take advantage of them once Bibarel has fallen. Bibarel is thwarted by Persian and Emolga, so Lairon, Shelgon, and Solrock are all great companions, and all of them perform well versus Emolga, another threat to Bibarel. In turn, Bibarel relieves Lairon and Solrock from having to set up Stealth Rock, freeing them to run setup moves and offensive sets. Mienfoo appreciates Stealth Rock damage accumulating on Flying-type Pokemon it invites in like Emolga and Pelipper, and can bring in one of Bibarel’s hyper offensive partners with U-turn.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
Bibarel could run Thunder Wave over Thunderbolt to slow down faster setup sweepers like Leafeon, Grumpig, and Mr. Mime, but giving up Thunderbolt means Bibarel cannot break Staryu and ensure Stealth Rock is set. Bibarel has Super Fang to make it less passive versus walls like Meganium and Clefairy compared to Scald, but Scald provides better damage against other hazard setters Bibarel is looking to beat, like Lairon and Solrock. Protect can shield Bibarel from Persian's Fake Out, letting it preserve its Focus Sash so it can set up Stealth Rock, but Bibarel lacks a move it can give up for this specific matchup. Bibarel’s Simple Ability, Normal / Water typing, and setup moves like Work Up or Curse could turn it into a setup sweeper. However, Bibarel tends to be outclassed by stronger setup sweepers like Swords Dance Leafeon and Pawniard, Dragon Dance Shelgon, Curse Muk, and Coil Arbok, as Bibarel is weak without a boost, slowed by Curse and struggles to break past defensive Grass-types like Meganium, Leafeon, and Ivysaur.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Persian**: Fake Out Persian bypasses Bibarel’s Focus Sash and then KO with Return, preventing Bibarel from setting up entry hazards. Persian can also use Taunt to prevent Bibarel from setting up Stealth Rock and break Focus Sash with U-Turn as well. However, Persian does not want to risk a burn switching in on Bibarel’s Scald. As an offensive pivot, Persian also does not appreciate taking Stealth Rock damage if Bibarel manages to set it up.

**Mienfoo**: Fake Out and High Jump Kick soundly OHKO Bibarel and only allow Bibarel to set up Stealth Rock. Alternatively, Mienfoo can break Bibarel's Focus Sash with U-turn to bring in a teammate safely while Regenerator mitigates any damage Mienfoo took. However, Mienfoo does not like getting burned by Scald.

**Grass-types**: Meganium and Leafeon can easily KO Bibarel with their STAB moves. Both Grass-types have Swords Dance sets that can exploit Bibarel's passivity, and Lum Berry or Substitute Leafeon can deny Bibarel fishing for Scald burns. Cleric Meganium and Leafeon sets can heal off burns and damage on themselves and their teammates. Ivysaur doesn’t appreciate Taunt or burns from Scald but its Giga Drain 2HKOs Bibarel and it doesn’t mind Surf or Thunderbolt.

**Emolga**: Emolga commonly runs Taunt and it outspeeds Bibarel, preventing it from setting Stealth Rock. Emolga's U-Turn and Volt Switch help break Bibarel's Focus Sash for its teammates, and its own Acrobatics can pick it off. Similar to Persian, Emolga is a very common offensive pivot. However, Emolga does not appreciate Bibarel's Stealth Rock being up despite its access to Roost, and it does not want to switch into Scald for fear of burn weakening its Acrobatics.

**Electric-types**: Raichu and Pikachu can use Volt Switch to break Bibarel’s Focus Sash and efficiently bring in a teammate while Bibarel sets up Stealth Rock, although neither of them stop Stealth Rock from going up. Raichu can use Bibarel as an opportunity to set up a Nasty Plot, and Lightning Rod opens up the opportunity for Raichu to get a Speed boost off of Bibarel’s Thunderbolt and Thunder. However, Raichu should be wary about losing too much health versus Bibarel to sweep between damage from Bibarel’s STAB Water-type move, potential Scald burns, and Life Orb recoil. Pikachu does not want to risk switching in at all versus Bibarel given its frailty.

**Revenge Killers**: Offensive Pokemon like Mr. Mime, Grumpig, and Simisear have no problem taking out Bibarel besides potentially hitting Focus Blast once its Focus Sash is broken. Kingler can nail Bibarel with a Superpower and doesn’t have to worry when spamming the move thanks to Bibarel’s Unaware. However, none of these Pokemon enjoy switching in on Scald, especially Simisear and Kingler. Kingler is also vulnerable to Bibarel’s Electric-type coverage moves.

Great work! I want to check this before clearing QC 1, since I gave you a few sentences to change/add/combine/delete etc

Staryu, the best and only relevant hazard remover in the tier, is 2HKO’d by max SpA invested (just cut the max SpA invested part because it's implied with the set above) Bibarel’s Thunderbolt. Maximum Special Attack investment also allows Bibarel to break bulky Whiscash’s Substitute with Scald (this belongs at the end of the paragraph because you normally follow in order from move 1 down to evs, or i would just delete it altogether if you dont think it's an important enough tidbit). Bibarel might run Thunder over Thunderbolt for a significantly stronger attack against foes like Staryu, Frillish, and Kingler (does it change any notable KO ranges? maybe find something that does because otherwise tbolt always seems more appealing), but the move’s lower accuracy makes it risky despite the additional appeal of its chance to paralyze. Unaware is Bibarel’s preferred ability, as it has the situational perk of ignoring boosts from setup sweepers like Swords Dance Kingler and Nasty Plot Simisear (i dont think you necessarily have to mention this because Simple is obviously worthless here and Moody is banned).

Bibarel tends to invite in Grass-types like Leafeon and Meganium, meaning Emolga, Simisear, Pawniard, Muk, and Arbok can all take advantage of them once Bibarel has fallen. Bibarel is dead weight without Protect (dont mention protect at all here, just move this to the OO section) against Persian’s offensive pivot set, so Lairon, Shelgon, and Solrock are all great companions, and all of them perform well versus Emolga, another threat to Bibarel with Taunt remove this last part because this implies that there isn't a bibarel with taunt. i would just rewrite this sentence to mention how it is thwarted by persian and emolga. In turn, Bibarel relieves Lairon and Solrock from having to set up Stealth Rock, freeing them to run setup moves and offensive sets. Defensive Mienfoo appreciates Stealth Rock damage accumulating on Flying-type Pokemon it invites in like Emolga and Pelipper, helps check Persian, and can bring in one of Bibarel’s hyper offensive partners with U-Turn. Defensive Mienfoo isn't a smogon dex set. so all of this is correct except for the checking persian part.

Persian can also use Taunt to prevent Bibarel from setting up Stealth Rock and break Focus Sash with U-Turn as well. Persian is an extremely popular offensive pivot, Bibarel’s lead set is known, and team preview makes Bibarel a visible liability versus Persian (delete this sentence, it's a bit of fluff since it's implied previously that it is detrimental to Bibarel's set). However, Persian does not want to risk a burn switching in on Bibarel’s Scald. As an offensive pivot, Persian also does not appreciate taking Stealth Rock damage if Bibarel manages to set it up.

Lum Berry Leafeon can deny Bibarel fishing for Scald burns. Swords Dance Meganium can similarly take advantage of Bibarel. Similar to Persian, Emolga is a very common offensive pivot. However, Emolga does not appreciate Bibarel's Stealth Rock being up despite its access to Roost, and it does not want to switch into Scald for fear of burn weakening its Acrobatics.
