It's time for the second annual 1v1 Classic's BW cup!

Tournament Rules:
  • General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
  • Gen 5 1v1
  • Best of five, single elimination.
  • Battles should take place on Pokemon Showdown! in BW Ubers (loser forfeiting after their mon dies) if you wanna make your life hard, Amethyst(use https://server.psim.us, https usually fixes connection issues some people have with side servers) if you wanna play in [Gen 5] 1v1.
  • Do not make baseless activity posts -- get in contact with your opponent and report missed times / scheduling issues only.
  • Learn how to schedule! Do not say "Saturday afternoon", specify a specific time that works for both of you.
  • If you don't get your match done, I'll activity or coinflip it. If both users are constantly making contact but can't set up a specific time, I will be happy to give an extension for 4 days. Do not rely on this because I could easily just flip your game if minimal effort is put in.
  • Replays will be required and if you don't post them I absolutely will coinflip them. PM me if you legitimately did not save them on accident.

  • Banlist: OU Banlist + Sash
    Unbanlist: Genesect, Landorus-Incarnate, Thundurus-Incarnate, Tornadus-Therian, Dugtrio, Manaphy

You will have a week to get these games done, as the deadline is Sunday, January 13th at 11:59:59 PM EST. Replays will be required and if you don't post them I can and will coinflip them. amethyst.psim.us automatically saves replays and has BW 1v1, so you should probably play on that server. Best of 5.

This is perhaps one of the shadiest act losses I've ever seen.

First, Tony requests for the planned time to be moved 2 hours before the time. I never replied or affirmed the moved time. I missed his rescheduled time by 21 minutes. I was well within the previous scheduled time of 9-10 GMT, as I arrived at 9:38. Tony posted on my smogon wall at 9:17. He said that he had to check in a bit before 10, but I didn't realize that that entailed over 20 minutes before 10.

Second, we get a 48 hour extension. We scheduled a time. We are both online, except Tony is on only Amethyst, not main. absolutely no where he says to be on Amethyst directly. I expected it to be like my other rounds, where we met on main serve and then decided which side server to use (ROM or Amethyst, neither is required).

Third, I asked Tony what time he could play the next day, the last day of our 48 hour extension. He says that he is unsure I he can make the same time as before, and that he'll "keep me posted." Other than that, he doesn't message me to give a time we could play or when he is free. and now I am the one being called on activity. If anything this evened out. Letting this call go through sets a precedent that you can get a really sketchy act call and then not play. Sorry to go after you, I hope you didn't do it on purpose TonyFlygon but this is just blatantly unfair. I just really don't want this to go through, giving johnners and scumbags who wish to use this as a precedent, and am honestly more upset by how this was decided than by Tony's actions. He did fine. I'm not blaming him. I just want whatever way this was decided to be re-looked at and re-evaluated.

How did you coin flip this? I responded to his initial post and then he didn't reply for 2 days and then when we got an extension he never gave a day to play, I called act when he never made a time to show and you give him the win anyways?

You messaged me on Discord but I can't respond; not sure if you blocked me or anything but unblock me/change your settings so I can message you if you want to discuss this call.
