  • Can set up Stealth Rocks
  • Walls certain threats currently in the tier (Espathra, Hatterene)
Cons:
  • Low HP and underwhelming attack stats
  • Fears Knock Off and offensive Dark-/Ghost-Types (Hydreigon, Gengar, Oricorio-Sensu...)
  • Has to rely on Leftovers for recovery
  • Lost a reliable way to deal passive damage in Toxic
Tera Potential:
Bronzong usually isn't the prime Tera canidate, though it can use Tera in emergency situations to tank hits that would've crippled or killed it. Certain Teras can also grant it STAB on some moves, making its attacks pack a bit more power.
  • Tera Fairy lets Bronzong resist Dark and neutralizes its weaknesses in exchange of weaknesses to Poison and Steel. This is a great option defensively, though it doesn't grant Bronzong any offensive benefits, as it doesn't learn any Fairy moves
  • Tera Fighting can also let Bronzong resist Dark and gives STAB on Body Press, making it threaten Dark- and Steel-Types more, though it does turn its quadruple Psychic resistance into a weakness
  • Tera Dark turns its Dark and Ghost weaknesses into resistances, but also makes it weak to Bug, Fighting and Fairy, which might flip some favorable MUs on its head. You also shouldn't use this Tera against Psychic-Types, as its original typing already walls most of them.
Sets:

Specially Defensive (Bronzong) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate / Heatproof
Tera Type: Fairy / Fighting / Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Gyro Ball / Heavy Slam
- Body Press / Future Sight
- Stealth Rock
- Protect

Bronzong usually runs Levitate as its ability, though Heatproof can also be used if you want to tank a few more Mystical Fires or Flare Blitzs. Gyro Ball is used to hit fast pokemon such as Espathra and Scream Tail. Heavy Slam can be used instead if you want to hit Hatterene, but the decreased BP against other pokemon is quite noticeable. Body Press lets it hit Dark-Types decently hard since it uses Bronzong's 116 Defense for damage calculation, this can be replaced with Future Sight, which pairs well with Protect and can potentially force out Gengar. Stealth Rock is the primary utility move since it lost Toxic, and Protect is needed for optimizing Leftovers recovery, with the added benefit of scouting moves and potentially forcing switches (or damage) with Future Sight.

Other Options:
  • Earthquake can be used if you REALLY hate Magnezone and Sandy Shocks, but both can pivot out before you hit them
  • Night Shade lets it deal a consistent 100 damage to everything but Normal-Types, making it a decent option in some matchups.
  • Ice Spinner lets it hit Dragons and Flying-Types hard, though you're probably only hitting them on switch-in. It also doesn't hit Ground-Types well since most of them (besides Toedscruel and maybe Sandy Shocks) have enough bulk to withstand the move.
  • Stored Power can be paired with Calm Mind and its suprisingly decent special movepool for a niche Special Tank set, but chances are that Bronzong will be burnt into melted metal (or smashed into pieces) before it kills anything.
Conclusion:
With the broken Egyptian bird running rampant in UU, Bronzong is finding a niche as a specially defensive wall that takes on Espathra well. As it stands, Bronzong is likely staying in UU for a little longer, but once January 1st hits and Espathra is (hopefully) gone from UU, Bronzong may find it difficult to carve a niche. The future of this bronze bell in UU isn't bright, but I hope it finds a role in RU if it ever drops down there.

With Hatterene rising to OU, Bronzong is one of the best Trick Room setters in tier. It has pretty good overall bulk and its difficult to OHKO unboosted. It can also easily switch into pokemon like Hippowdon very easily and set up. STAB Gyro Ball can hit the faster threats like Noivern and Hawlucha relatively hard for a pokemon with only average attack. Another niche it has is dual screens so it is a option to pair with set up sweepers. It's a solid pick, but does have some flaws to it such being a set up fodder to some of the most dangerous sweepers around.
