Scarf Xerneas is a big threat for the team, due at high speed, literally outspeed the whole team, and Fairy STAB while the team lack of fairy switch-in with recovery (especially with no SunStrike Ultra Necro). Xerneas can switch in on Dark-types for Mega-Gengar, notably Arceus-Dark, weaken Ground-type such as Primal-Groudon, Arceus-Ground, ect. Mega-Gengar, help to weaken Primal-Groudon for Xerneas, can revenge kill Ultra-Necro and CB Mega-Ray. Destiny Bond is useful tool too, for trade something when MGengar is in low life.

So GeoXern + really any screens setter just sweeps this team, especially with Rock's up. Something stupid like Deoxys-Speed can do both. There's no phasing on the team and the Xern counter-play is using SpDef Primal-Groudon to weaken Xern (or status) so Jolly Band Mega-Ray can try to pick off. You could optimize the Xern spread to counter this specific team, but I'll just opt for the SmogDex spread. Either way, GeoXern, at worst 2HKO's the entire team and nothing is done when screens are up.

pretty solid webs team built around SD Ray + SD EKiller. SD ray is SD Ray, SD ekiller runs z giga impact to prevent supportceus from defogging and ohkos bunch of other threats which it usually cant otherwise. I chose Shuckle as my web setter over Smeargle/something else because it usually manages to get rocks/webs up and toxic + encore can really annoy teams. Im using Ultra necrozma as well because it is a really good offensive mon and can destroy the common balance teams with easy, it also has rocks incase shuckle is unable to get both the hazards up. While Dusk Mane is obviously better, Dawn wings is used as the base to prevent rapid spin. Disable Yveltal is a pretty cool tech if you wanna shut down support arceus, it is evd to tank a super effective judgment after life orb damage so thats also pretty cool. Xerneas is one of the best set up sweeper rn and it takes huge advantage of the damage caused by the other 4 teammates. Overall its a really good team and has been amazing on ladder as well as in tours.

submit a 2 mon core which breaks this team by Friday!
have fun!

Anyways Lele xern is a really good core especially against teams like this. This webs team struggles to deal with a xern that is already set up with anything other than priority and terrain blocks that

So the main reason I submitted this core was just for TR Necrozma-Dusk-Mane. Trick Room NDM is already an extremely difficult MU for Webs, since NDM can force the lead 50/50 (only Yveltal can immediately threaten NDM), makes webs irrelevant throughout TR, and it is even more difficult for Pichus' team as the team has no switch-ins to it - and it sets up on all mons except Ray and Yve. It also can switch into Xern, Arceus, and Ultra (although you wouldn't switch into Ultra really - cause you wouldn't expect no Earthquake), or just stop their sweep.

Scarf Ray is good against Webs - as it outspeeds everything except boosted GeoXern, and can sacrifice itself for a Defog if webs/SR is too troubling for the team. It also is decently threatening against boosted Ray/Ultra and is difficult for webs lategame. While this core doesn't synergise, both individual mons can massively threaten the team.

I have to agree with Ice about the necrozma set, and necrozma in general. Nothing switches into it on the dang team. You can just spam sunsteel and get kills, set up TR and maybe get 2 kills. Marshadow is a glaring weakness to the damn team as well, nothing safely switches into it, maybe a chople arceus but, its lacking. And you just manage to set up hazards, oh its game over then. Necrozma and marsh/ almost any scarfer can just about handle the team, if played efficiently. I thought most webs teams had arceus steel or groudon? what do i know bro.

Apologies for the late submission. :/ Hopefully, I can still submit this, but if not, that's okay.

Sets/The Core:

Skarmory
EVs: Defense: 252 / HP: 252 / Special Defense: 4
Nature: Impish (+Def, -SpA)
Nature:
Iron Defense
Toxic
Defog
Roost

Ho-Oh
EVs: Special Defense: 200 / Defense: 56 / HP: 252
Nature: Careful (+SpD, -SpA)
Sacred Fire
Toxic
Roost
Whirlwind

Calcs and Brief, Ensuing Explanations:

Calcs for Ho-Oh:
+2 252+ SpA Xerneas Psyshock vs. 252 HP / 56 Def Ho-Oh: 198-233 (47.5 - 56%) -- 25.8% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery ---> This would be the risk most would cite of running a heavily SpD boosted Ho-Oh, and it is a reasonable concern. However, this calc shows how the slight investment in physical Defense in Ho-Oh makes an important distinction in checking the Xern set.
+2 252+ SpA Fairy Aura Xerneas Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 200+ SpD Ho-Oh: 124-147 (29.8 - 35.3%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

240+ SpA Life Orb Dark Aura Yveltal Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 200+ SpD Ho-Oh: 134-160 (32.2 - 38.4%) -- 1.6% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
240+ SpA Life Orb Yveltal Oblivion Wing vs. 252 HP / 200+ SpD Ho-Oh: 101-121 (24.2 - 29%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

Calcs for Skarmory:

+2 252 Atk Rayquaza-Mega Dragon Ascent vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 142-168 (42.5 - 50.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 252 Atk Rayquaza-Mega Dragon Ascent vs. +2 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 72-84 (21.5 - 25.1%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Rayquaza-Mega Dragon Ascent vs. +2 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 36-42 (10.7 - 12.5%) -- possibly the worst move ever ---> I would like to highlight here how it is the Damage Calculator that added the "possibly the worst move ever" annotation, not me. XD That goes to show how significant the defense of Skarm is here, particularly against a non-V-Create Mray set.

248 Atk Necrozma-Ultra Outrage vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 67-79 (20 - 23.6%) -- possible 6HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 248 Atk Necrozma-Ultra Outrage vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 134-158 (40.1 - 47.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
248 Atk Necrozma-Ultra Outrage vs. +2 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 33-40 (9.8 - 11.9%) -- possibly the worst move ever ---> Again, not my annotation. lol

252+ Atk Arceus Giga Impact vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 72-85 (21.5 - 25.4%) -- 0.4% chance to 4HKO
+2 252+ Atk Arceus Giga Impact vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 144-170 (43.1 - 50.8%) -- 3.9% chance to 2HKO
252+ Atk Arceus Giga Impact vs. +2 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 36-43 (10.7 - 12.8%) -- possible 8HKO
252+ Atk Arceus Giga Impact vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 72-85 (21.5 - 25.4%) -- 0.4% chance to 4HKO

More Detailed Analysis of the Core:

For some time now, I have used a SpD-invested Ho-Oh set to great effect actually. Though it can't check Mray at that point, as can be seen above it functions excellently as a Xern check. And frankly, it works well against other Special Attack powerhouses as well. As can be determined by the calcs above, Ho-Oh is formidable here against even LO SpA-boosted Yveltal: Even with the additional boost from Dark Aura, Dark Pulse does fairly marginal damage, which could be dangerous considering the impact of Sacred Fire and Toxic and its lack of recovery moves.

In turn, Skarmory's physical Defense is quite impressive and is responsible for countering much of the team. Even significantly powerful physical attackers like Ultra, Mray, and Ekiller can't cause significant damage without sustaining significant damage from Toxic.

Overall, I believe this core of Pokémon is quite formidable against the team pichus provided. Even against Shuckle there is Skarmory with Defog and Toxic to wear it down and not in turn be inflicted with Toxic. Let me know what you think, if you'd like!

I’ve got a speed-control core for all you lovelies. As numerous people noted, Trick Room is really freaking awesome versus Webs. Gear is an under-utilized option for AG Trick Room teams, being able to simultaneously get up the Room and sweep on its own. No set up needed. You essentially lead Gear, spam Flash Cannon, and never switch (HO!). What on this team beats Gear? The only attack on the team that threatens Gear is Mega-Ray’s EQ, which is where Skarm comes in!
Skarm walls the heck out of SD Ultra, SD Arc, and Webs MRay and here are a pair of sets.

Tailwind Skarm is A GOAT an interesting anti-offense set that provides surprise utility. Skarm can’t be one-shot due to Sturdy/GOAT typing. The first set is an amazing suicide lead Skarm devised by my buddy, Perf. The defensive investment allows Skarm to eat +2 Light That Burns the Sky after Rock’s in order to set up a Tailwind. Speed investment allows Skarm to outspeed Ultra at +2 and get valuable chip damage off (or set Rock’s!).

Rocky Helmet Skarm is ig also here and walls all the physical mons while Gear walls the special mons.
