[SET COMMENTS]
Blacephalon's great STAB combination and high Base Power moves make it a very dangerous wallbreaker. It excels at forcing KOs against several common defensive cores, as they often lack a proper Ghost-resistant Pokemon. It also sits at a nice Speed tier, which lets it outrun and revenge kill some offensive threats, including Garchomp, Mega Medicham, and Tapu Lele. However, Blacephalon's frailty and poor defensive profile make it difficult to get into battle at times, and it's very easy for the likes of Weavile and Tyranitar to Pursuit trap it. Overheat is a nuke that achieves titanic feats of strength; it can OHKO Gliscor and 2HKO Garchomp after minimal chip damage while doing enormous damage to frailer resistant foes such as Ash-Greninja and Mega Charizard Y. Fire Blast can also 2HKO Hydreigon and Garchomp and can be used well consecutively. Knock Off is a good midground option that annoys certain defensive Pokemon such as Toxapex and Gastrodon, allowing Blacephalon to 2HKO the former with Stealth Rock up and potentially 2HKO the latter with Stealth Rock or one layer of Spikes. Most crucially, it removes Chansey's Eviolite, which can allow Blacephalon to 2HKO it with Fire Blast after Stealth Rock damage. Flamethrower can be considered over Fire Blast for more consistency, but the drop in power makes Blacephalon worse at breaking through threats like Chansey post Knock Off. Choice Specs is the preferred item for the increase in power, which nicely complements Blacephalon's highly spammable STAB moves. Timid is required in order to outrun Garchomp, Victini, and Mega Medicham.

Blacephalon fits well on fast-paced teams, which appreciate it forcing meaningful progress against most defensive cores. Blacephalon is quite difficult to get into battle safely, so pivoting support is highly valuable. Landorus-T, Mega Lopunny, Mega Scizor, and Tapu Koko can all offer this support; Tapu Koko is especially nice, as it baits in Ferrothorn, while Mega Lopunny forces in Gliscor or Clefable for Blacephalon to prey on. Entry hazard removers like Tapu Fini, Landorus-T, and Rotom-W are also appreciated due to Blacephalon's Stealth Rock weakness. Blacephalon is highly vulnerable to being Pursuit trapped; this can be very difficult to prevent, as both Weavile and Tyranitar can safely come in after Blacephalon picks up a KO get pivoted in after it's already fired off an attack. Consider teammates such as Heatran, Calm Mind Clefable, Ash-Greninja, and Mega Mawile, which can punish these Pokemon by forcing further KOs after they have successfully trapped Blacephalon.

A Choice Scarf set can be considered as a revenge killer that uses Beast Boost to get more powerful and snowball through teams, but Blacephalon's STAB combination is not exceedingly difficult to pivot around when not boosted by Choice Specs, and Blacephalon can generally be revenge killed with bulky Water-types or priority moves from Mega Lopunny and Mega Mawile. Trick cripples defensive Pokemon like Blissey, Toxapex, and Chansey, but Knock Off achieves similar results and allows Blacephalon to keep its Choice Specs. Additionally, Blacephalon may receive harmful items from Trick, such as Toxapex's Black Sludge, hampering its already bad longevity. A Calm Mind set with 232 HP / 4 Def / 20 SpA / 252 Spe EVs can be used as a sweeper, boosting Speed after KOs; such a set can also consider Grassium Z to surprise Tyranitar. Unfortunately, this set doesn't hit hard enough even when boosted to consistently sweep teams.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-types**: Tyranitar is by far the best counter to Blacephalon, as it safely switches into any move and easily Pursuit traps it. Weavile Pursuit traps it as well, although it cannot safely switch in. Hydreigon can't safely switch into Blacephalon's Fire-type moves, but its resistance to Shadow Ball and access to Roost make it a great check. Mega Gyarados can also check it, although it can't safely switch in without Mega Evolving beforehand.

**Dragon-types**: Kommo-o is immune to Shadow Ball due to Bulletproof and defensive variants can take Overheat if necessary. Other Dragon-types like Garchomp, Mega Latias, and Mega Latios can comfortably switch into Blacephalon's Fire-type moves and revenge kill it after, but Shadow Ball destroys them.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Certain special walls, such as Toxapex, Blissey, Chansey, and Gastrodon, can scout what move Blacephalon is using and respond accordingly; however, minimal chip damage puts both Toxapex and Gastrodon into Shadow Ball's 2HKO range of Shadow Ball after minimal chip, and both Chansey and Blissey fear Knock Off.

**Revenge Killing**: Most faster Pokemon can't safely switch into Blacephalon, though threats such as Mega Lopunny, Ash-Greninja, Kartana, and Mega Diancie can revenge kill it. Additionally, priority moves from Mega Mawile and Urshifu-R can take care of Blacephalon due to its minimal bulk.

**Stealth Rock**: Blacephalon's crippling weakness to Stealth Rock limits its longevity, preventing it from switching in to dent the opposing team as often.

main paras
nuke drei mentions in these two and find smtg else more relevant, drei has not seen relevant playtime since spectrier left natdex
specify the interaction between fireblast and flame against knocked chansey (u don't 2hko it after rocks)
expand on how knock cripples gastro and pex (u now cleanly 2hko mixdef pex after rocks for example, and have a roll to 2hko gastro after spikes/rocks)

oo:
nuke hypno mention no one has ever even considered that, and nuke hp grass u still switch in well enough
expand on the trick v koff section, alongside that the fact that u keep specs, u also don't get stuff like pex sludge which is even more detrimental to ur recovery, and oftentimes a net negative

c&c
nuke hp grass and hypno mentions from tar section, no one has used that

in dragon type section expand further on the other dragons part, mention that they can switch in on fire stab but not ghost

in rk section nuke bish mention

rocks rocks rocks rocks (chip damage), talk abt how its shit bulk + rlly bad rocks weakness makes it suck balls

1/2 after this, really good so far, a good bit is mainly removing old stuff

In the part about abusing a pursuit lock, add Mega Mawile and remove Kartana (blace+kart doesnt seem too ideal)

Remove Hydreigon from the Dragon-types section since it’s already in Dark-types (Fire resist isnt helping when you’re 2hkoed by Fire Blast so)
