Bisharp is an excellent setup sweeper for Steel teams. It deals with problematic Pokemon such as Blacephalon and Victini with its priority in Sucker Punch, and it has the sheer power to break down types such as Poison and Steel after a Swords Dance. Also, Defiant greatly synergizes with the tendency of Steel teams to stack entry hazards making Bisharp a very effective tool to deter Defog users such as Latias and Rotom-W. Knock Off makes progress against common walls such as Toxapex, Galarian Corsola, and Mantine, and it weakens Bisharp checks such as Celesteela, Body Press Corviknight, and Hydreigon as they switch in, removing their Leftovers. Iron Head greatly synergizes with Knock Off, dealing with Fairy-types such as Galarian Weezing and Clefable that resist Knock Off and do not mind losing their item. Sucker Punch circumvents Bisharp's low Speed, dealing with threats such as Nidoking, Excadrill, and Thundurus-T. Maximum Speed with an Adamant nature lets Bisharp outspeed most walls, including Mantine and specially defensive Heatran, while also outspeeding bulky threats such as Clefable, Volcanion, and Bulk Up Tapu Bulu. Black Glasses boosts Knock Off and Sucker Punch, the moves Bisharp will use most often, allowing it to OHKO Magnezone and Heatran at +2 with Knock Off. It also lets Sucker Punch pick off Victini with the slightest amount of chip damage. Alternatively, Life Orb lets Bisharp OHKO even Colbur Berry Slowbro and Toxapex with Knock Off, after a Swords Dance, Stealth Rock, and a layer of Spikes. It also boosts Iron Head, but Bisharp really just uses Knock Off and Sucker Punch most of the time, and Life Orb cuts into its longevity.

Entry hazard setters such as Ferrothorn, Heatran, and Skarmory pair extremely well with Bisharp, since Defiant deters response Defogs and benefits from them, and hazards also wear down walls such as Toxapex and Hippowdon, which normally check Bisharp. Ferrothorn also checks Barraskewda and wears down bulky Water- and Ground-types such as Slowbro and Hippowodon. Heatran is a Fire-immune teammate that also doubles as a temporary check to non-Earth Power Hydreigon, which can take advantage of Bisharp. In return, Bisharp deals with Galarian Slowking and opposing Heatran, which prevent Heatran from making progress. Alternatively, Choice Scarf Heatran deals with Tapu Koko and non-Choice Scarf Zarude, and it puts pressure on Bisharp's checks such as Toxapex, Cinderace, and Hydreigon. Ground-immune partners such as Skarmory, Celesteela, and Corviknight are also appreciated, as these check threats such as Choice Scarf Landorus-T and Choice Band Excadrill. Celesteela can also utilize Air Slash to deal with Iron Defense Kommo-o and trade with Urshifu-R, or it can use an Autotomize set, which takes advantage of Bisharp's ability to remove Galarian Slowking and Heatran. Corviknight provides pivoting in U-turn, allowing Bisharp to get more setup opportunities. Aegislash helps Bisharp overwhelm walls such as Gastrodon and Mantine with sets such as SubToxic and Choice Specs. Choice Scarf Excadrill benefits from Bisharp's ability to weaken or outright remove bulky Pokemon, such as Slowbro and Toxapex, as this allows Excadrill to clean types such as Dragon, Psychic, and Poison late-game. Choice Specs Jirachi deals with Fighting-types such as Kommo-o and Urshifu-R, and it is fast enough to threaten Nidoking and Hydreigon for Bisharp.

A Jolly nature may be considered to use Sucker Punch before Mamoswine negates it with Ice Shard, as well as outspeeding and removing Adamant Tapu Bulu. One is advised to use Life Orb with Jolly to actually OHKO Tapu Bulu, as well as specially defensive Heatran and, potentially, Victini. A Choice Scarf set with Stone Edge, Knock Off, Sucker Punch, and Iron Head may be considered, as it notably outspeeds and picks off threats such as Victini, Cinderace, and Tornadus-T. However, Bisharp's subpar Speed leaves it outsped by all relevant Choice Scarf users and some naturally fast Pokemon, such as Tapu Koko and Zeroara. This necessitates a second Choice Scarf user or another way to handle these threats, such as Swords Dance Excadrill or Melmetal.

Bisharp is an excellent setup sweeper for Steel teams, dealing with problematic Pokemon such as Blacephalon and Victini due to its access to priority in Sucker Punch, and sheer power to break down types such as Poison and Steel after a Swords Dance (you could mention that the rare Body Press Ferrothorn is an issue, though this set has admittedly died down a lot). Bisharp's ability, Defiant, also greatly synergizes with the tendency of Steel teams to stack entry hazards on the opposing team, making Bisharp a very effective tool to deter Defog users such as Latias and Rotom-W. Knock Off deals with walls such as Toxapex, Galarian Corsola, and Mantine, and weakens checks such as Celesteela, Body Press Corviknight, and Hydreigon which tend to switch in on it. Entry hazard setters such as Ferrothorn, Heatran, and Skarmory pair extremely well with Bisharp, as these make Defiant's activation more likely, and also wears down opposing walls such as Colbur Berry Slowbro, Toxapex, and Hippowodon which normally check Bisharp. Heatran is a Fire immunity that also doubles as a temporary check to non-Earth Power Hydreigon and Galarian Moltres, which can take advantage of Bisharp. In return, Bisharp deals with Galarian Slowking, Gastrodon (It only has a 25% chance to ohko Gastrodon w/o chip and risks Scald burn if it doesn't ohko -- this example is fine but I'd rather a diff one) and opposing Heatran which prevent Heatran from making progress. Alternatively, Choice Scarf Heatran deals with Tapu Koko and non-Choice Scarf Zarude, and puts pressure on Bisharp's checks such as Toxapex, Cinderace, and Hydreigon. Aegislash helps Bisharp overwhelm opposing walls such as Slowbro and Mantine with sets such as SubToxic or Choice Specs. Choice Scarf Excadrill benefits from Bisharp's ability to weaken or outright remove bulky Pokemon such as Clefable, (You just Iron Head Clefable twice and kill it, worst case its Flamethrower and does ~ half to you) Slowbro, and Toxapex, as this allows Excadrill to clean types such as Fairy, Psychic, and Poison late-game. Jirachi deals with Fighting-types such as Kommo-o and Urshifu-R, and is a fast enough to threaten Nidoking and Hydreigon for Bisharp.

Off. It also lets Sucker Punch pick off Victini with the slightest amount of chip damage. (I imagine this works?) Alternatively, Life Orb lets Bisharp OHKO even Colbur Berry Slowbro and Toxapex with Knock Off at +2 after Stealth Rock and a Spike, aside from also boosting Iron Head, but this cuts into Bisharp's longevity, and it really just uses Knock Off and Sucker Punch most of the time. Off, a Swords Dance, Stealth Rock, and a layer of Spikes. It also boosts Iron Head, but Bisharp really just uses Knock Off and Sucker Punch most of the time, and Life Orb cuts into its longevity.

Entry hazard setters such as Ferrothorn, Heatran, and Skarmory pair extremely well with Bisharp, as these make Defiant's activation more likely, and also wears down opposing since Defiant deters response Defogs and benefits from them, and hazards also wear down walls such as Toxapex and Hippowodon Hippowdon, which normally check Bisharp. Ferrothorn also checks Barraskewda and wears down bulky Water- (added hyphen) and Ground-types such as Slowbro and Hippowodon. Heatran is a Fire immunity Fire-immune teammate that also doubles as a temporary check to non-Earth Power Hydreigon, (AC) which can take advantage of Bisharp. In return, Bisharp deals with Galarian Slowking and opposing Heatran, (AC) which prevent Heatran from making progress. Alternatively, Choice Scarf Heatran deals with Tapu Koko and non-Choice Scarf Zarude, and it puts pressure on Bisharp's checks such as Toxapex, Cinderace, and Hydreigon. Ground-immune (added hyphen) partners such as Skarmory, Celesteela, and Corviknight are also appreciated, as these check threats such as Choice Scarf Landorus-T and Choice Band Excadrill. Aegislash helps Bisharp overwhelm opposing walls such as Gastrodon and Mantine with sets such as SubToxic or and Choice Specs. Choice Scarf Excadrill benefits from Bisharp's ability to weaken or outright remove bulky Pokemon, (AC) such as Slowbro and Toxapex, as this allows Excadrill to clean types such as Dragon, Psychic, and Poison late-game. Choice Specs Jirachi deals with Fighting-types such as Kommo-o and Urshifu-R, and is a it is fast enough to threaten Nidoking and Hydreigon for Bisharp.

Bisharp is an excellent setup sweeper for Steel teams, dealing teams.
