Eternatus @ Lum Berry
Ability: Simple
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Core Enforcer
- Sludge Bomb
- Blue Flare / Earth Power
If you are looking to use Eternatus in Balanced Hackmons, it's simple. Simple Eternatus is a terrifyingly powerful wallbreaker that overwhelms opposing walls like Zamazenta-C and Ho-Oh with its +4 Special Attack. Core Enforcer hits Prankster Haze Pokemon such as Ho-Oh and Zygarde-C and suppresses their ability, which makes setting up Nasty Plot easier. Sludge Bomb hits Fairy-types like Xerneas and Tapu Fini and can be used to fish for poison on walls. Coverage options for Simple Eternatus include Blue Flare and Earth Power; the former is a stronger move that is strong against most Steel-types like Celesteela, Ferrothorn, and Zamazenta-C, while the latter hits Primordial Sea Steel-types. Depending on which coverage move you use, the aforementioned Pokemon are also good partners to Imposter-proof Eternatus. Lum Berry stops paralysis, particularly Nuzzle and Glare, from ending Eternatus's sweep. Poison Heal sweepers make for good partners as they can absorb paralysis and have solid longevity, while Triage Yveltal is potent at beating some of Eternatus's checks. Alternatively, pair Eternatus with an Imposter user to capitalize on opposing RegenVest.

+4 252 SpA Eternatus Core Enforcer vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Ferrothorn: 189-223 (53.6 - 63.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+4 252 SpA Eternatus Core Enforcer vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Ice Scales Groudon: 204-241 (50.4 - 59.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

typically u want psea steels vs flare and some av/scales steela vs ep. buffoonery like regenvest ferro, prank glare hooh on ho, unaware users, imposter chansey can also be used to imposter proof but is worse and/or unreliable.

this also falls into the trap of only listing imposter proofers for team options rather than mons that actually work together with etern in a gameplan. you can conjure up reasons for why your favorite regi/xern sets play well with this guy, ph in general, triage goes pleasantly with this cause it 1) has actual longevity 2) tends to laugh at teams that rely on hard answers (psea steel and scales users will be a little sad vs cage taunt np yveltal for example though there are many, many others). i also like imposter itself as a team option cause you troll regenvest and the matchup vs aggressive regi/xern is actually very pleasant, you can usually hold them off long enough

i know length on these is very limited, obv dont put em all in these are just some ideas

not sure if this is more a gp thing but the nuzzle sentence is worded a bit weirdly to me, "lum stops paralysis, commonly seen in the form of nuzzle/glare walls, from ending etern's sweep" feels more crispy

everything else is good except for the first sentence which i hate

If you are looking to use Eternatus in Balanced Hackmons, it's simple I hate you. Simple Eternatus is a terrifyingly powerful wallbreaker that utilizes +4 SpA to wallbreak past almost all of the metagame, including walls like Zamazenta-C and Ho-Oh overwhelms opposing walls like Zamazenta-C and Ho-Oh with its +4 Special Attack. Core Enforcer hits Prankster Haze Pokemon such as Ho-Oh and Zygarde-C and removes suppresses their ability, which makes setting up Nasty Plot easier. Depending on which coverage move you use, the aforementioned Pokemon are also good partners to Imposter-proof hyphen Eternatus. Lum Berry stops paralysis, commonly seen in the form of particularly Nuzzle and Glare, from ending Eternatus's sweep. Poison Heal sweepers make for good partners with Eternatus partners, as they can absorb paralysis and have solid longevity, while Triage Yveltal is potent at breaking beating some of Eternatus's checks. Alternatively, pair Eternatus with an Imposter user to capitalize on opposing RegenVest.
