Gamefreak has just unleashed the rules for the first Series of Battle Stadium Singles, which lasts until January 31st!

In a surprise twist, All Paradox and Legendary Pokemon are banned! They must also be from the Paldea Pokdex, so Charizard is likely banned too.

Considering how much of a huge impact Paradoxes and the Legends had on this metagame, we're in pretty uncharted territory. What will be great, what will have issues? Let's find out together!

SPEED TIERS

It's the exciting start of a new generation! And with that, many of us encounter a common problem: you see some weird new Pokemon, and think "wait... do I outspeed that?"

That's where the Speed Tiers will help! I have a chart here that lists the speeds of a TON of mons! You can use ctrl+f (or whatever search function your device uses) to quickly check up what speeds a foe is likely to have. Alternately, you can use these handy charts to craft your own custom EV spreads! I put Pokemon that are likely to be important speed tiers in Bold Red for Speed, and Bold for the important Pokemon in question.

Also: Don't read this like a viability list. For example, I sorta doubt stuff like Cyclizar or Farigiraf will be important to Battle Stadium Singles, but stuff like that is included in case you run into some weird teams on the ladder!

Thx, Spe tiers was like my most used thread in gen 8. I expected it to take longer gj! Does Gastrodon actually run 4 Spe often? Im now thinking I should out speed w/ Another base 39, Arboliva. That means 4 or, if they run Spe, 12.
