Don't mind me, just gonna take it upon myself to gauge if there's even a sliver of interest left in this pet mod, since Ezaphs is sleeping right now and he is a busy boy.

So... Anyone care about this still or nah? I love the idea and wanna keep it alive, but it seems nobody else shares my feelings.

pls vote for Silvally tiebreaker btw

so at its current stage there appears to be 4 people even slightly interested in the mod, which isn't enough for it to function very well imo. Here's to hoping maybe the PMGS brings some attention our way. At the moment, with how awkward this mod is to code and how little interest there is, I don't feel much motivation for coding it up.
Oh by the way, we're STILL looking for some submissions. We haven't really got enough to vote on right now, so a few more would be appreciated. Alternately, we can move on to a new slate that people might be more interested in. Also if any of you have any ideas for helping the mod grow I'd like to hear em :]

seeing as we have some semblance of a community here, I'm not just gonna kill it off. Let's give it a try with another slate, one fairly symbolic of what we're doing here.

Back Again!
These Pokémon have abilities that recover them in some form upon switching out and back in. Get to work! I'll submit mine tomorrow, as I have a test to prepare for as of now.

Pokemon: Mienshao
Battle Bond Name: Delbert-Mienshao
Base Stats: 65 / 165 (+40) / 90 (+30) / 95 / 90 (+30) / 115 (+10)
Typing: Fighting
Move Buffed: U-turn
Move Stats: Fighting Type / 80 BP / 100% Accuracy / Attack then switch
Activation: Use U-turn on a Flying, Psychic, or Fairy type (This is probably overly complex, I can change it if needed)
Battle Bond Origin: Under Delbert's guidance, Mienshao makes a smart switch and changes into its new form, boosting U-turn's BP by 10 and changing it to fighting type. It also becomes much stronger and bulkier than before, allowing it to take more hits and do more with it's own hits.
1526421847698.png

Pokemon: Tangrowth
Battle Bond Name: Jupiter-Tangrowth
Base Stats: 100 / 130 (+30) / 155 (+30) / 110 / 100 (+50) / 50
Typing: Grass / Steel
Move Buffed: Power Whip
Move Stats: Grass Type / 120 BP / 90% / This move hits super-effectively against bug and flying types.
Activation: Restore 50% HP or more in one turn.
Battle Bond Origin: Tangrowth proves it's loyalty to Jupiter by recovering after a tough hit. It becomes coated in a shell of steel, and it's arms become larger and flatter, allowing to smack bugs and flying types easily.
1526426326619.png

Pokemon: Starmie
Battle Bond Name: Misty-Starmie
Base Stats: 60 / 75 / 85 / 125 (25) / 135 (+50) / 150 (+35)
Typing: Water / Psychic
Move Buffed: Rapid Spin
Move Stats: Normal / 10 BP / 100% Accuracy / 100% chance to paralyze and confuse target. Removes hazards.
Activation: Removing hazards.
Battle Bond Origin: Misty was failing as a gym leader. Her pokemon were all glass cannons, and relied on items such as focus sash to survive. But, all her pokemon lost the chance to use focus sash because of hazards. So when starmie removed them, it improved its hazard-removing capabilities and Buffed its special defense considerably. Also, this thing looks really annoying.

Pokemon: Roserade
Battle Bond Name: Gardenia-Roserade
Base Stats: 60 / 70 / 105 (+40) / 145 (+20) / 105 / 140 (+50)
Typing: Grass / Poison
Move Buffed: Giga Drain
Move Stats: Grass / 80 BP / 100% Accuracy / Deploys Leech Seed. User regains 75% of damage dealt.
Activation: Poison opponent.
Battle Bond Origin: After losing a hard-fought gym battle, Gardenia's gym was attacked by a group of thieves. Just as they were getting away, Roserade unleashed a poison wave to stop the robbers. It then bonded with Gardenia, boosting its longevity and attack power and speed.

Pokemon Name: Mienshao
Battle Bond Name: Marshal-Mienshao
Stats: 65 / 145 (+20) / 75 (+15) / 145 (+50) / 75 (+15) / 115 (+10)
Typing:

Buffed Move: Aura Sphere: 95 BP, hits Fighting and Poison types super-effectively.
Activation: Use an attacking move while Psychic Terrain is active.
Description: Hey, Tapu Lele users! Ever wanted a menacing mixed attacker that can rid Lele of those really annoying Steel types it generally dislikes? Well, here's Marshal-Mienshao to fill in that niche. Mienshao has had a daily ritual of meditation and other mystic stuff, but in Psychic Terrain, those inner Psychic powers are awakened... Without it actually becoming a Psychic type. Well, it does effectively get Psychic STAB with Aura Sphere, so that's cool.

Pokemon Name: Tangrowth
Battle Bond Name: Hiori-Tangrowth
Stats: 100 / 140 (+40) / 145 (+20) / 100 (-10) / 100 (+50) / 60 (+10) (645)
Typing:

Buffed Move: Power Whip: 120 BP, 90% accurate, 100% chance to inflict the opponent with Leech Seed.
Activation: Use a status move while Sun or Grassy Terrain is active.
Description: In harsh sunlight, Tangrowth's vines lengthen and grow beautiful flowers. When attacking, these flowers spray seeds on the opponent that'll slowly drain their life force over the course of the battle. Hiori-Tangrowth is a unique tank with lots of bulk and high power.

Pokemon Name: Starmie
Battle Bond Name: Misty-Starmie
Stats: 60 / 75 / 95 (+10) / 125 (+25) / 135 (+50) / 130 (+25) (630)
Typing:
/

Buffed Move: Spotlight: 60 BP, Psychic type, makes foe hit themselves with the last move they used for 50% power. Higher chance to fail when used in succession. This stacks with protecting moves.
Activation: Tank a Fire or Psychic move.
Description: Getting hit by one of the aforementioned types of moves causes Starmie's gem to become extremely bright, and it splits into many smaller gems coating its arms. The main gem becomes a dark shade of blue and is now star-shaped. Starmie is now a special tank with an annoying move.

Pokemon Name: Roserade
Battle Bond Name: Cynthia-Roserade
Stats: 60 / 70 / 95 (+30) / 160 (+35) / 135 (+30) / 105 (+15) (625)
Typing:
/

Buffed Move: Venom Drench: Raises user's Attack, Special Attack and Speed by 2 at the expense of poisoning the user regardless of type.
Activation: Inflict Poison on a foe.
Description: Roserade's flowers become purple and black respectively (kinda like the shiny) and grow sharp thorns. Its leaf mask and cape become torn and have streaks of sludge coating them. When in a desperate scenario, Cynthia-Roserade can inject venom into itself to pump its blood. Cynthia-Roserade is an all or nothing sweeper.

Pokémon: Mienshao

Battle Bond Name: Ikari-Mienshao

Base Stats: 65/165 (+ 40)/70 (+ 10)/95/60/165 (+ 60)

Typing: Fighting/Dragon

Move Buffed: Pound

Move Stats: Dragon Type. Phases opponent (priority is the same as other phasing moves).

Activation: Consume an item.

Battle Bond Origin: “Ikari the Dragon” was a Poké Ping Pong player who earned his nickname due to his draconic vibe. He was Poké Ping Pong champion for multiple years and had an animosity with his rival, Ilima. This rivalry was shared with their Pokémon, including Ikari’s Mienshao, whom he used in his matches. After Ilima defeated Ikari, their animosity ended, but their desire to improve did not. When his Mienshao consumes an item, it reminds him of using his ping pong paddle and ball and he absorbs his trainer’s draconic vibe, becoming stronger and gaining the ability to knock his opponent away like it did with the ping pong ball.

Pokémon: Tangrowth

Battle Bond Name: Hiori-Tangrowth

Base Stats: 100/100/165 (+ 40)/110/100 (+ 50)/70 (+ 20)

Typing: Grass/Dark

Move Buffed: Power Whip

Move Stats: Clears Hazards on Hiori-Tangrowth’s side of the field. 30% chance of putting opponent to sleep.

Activation: Take damage while switching in.

Battle Bond Origin: Hiori had a secret identity as Pokémon 7, who helps others in need. As Pokémon 7, he is very sneaky and uses his Tangrowth to safely lower himself and his allies into buildings with its vi8nes and to put Team Galactic grunts to sleep. When his Tangrowth is damaged as it enters the field, it is reminded that it needs to use its vines to ensure others can enter safely and that it must put opponents to sleep. This fills it with strength and the determination and sneakiness to do so.

Pokémon: Roserade

Battle Bond Name: Napoleon-Roserade

Base Stats: 60/70/65/165 (+ 40)/155 (+ 50)/110 (+ 20)

Typing: Grass/Fairy

Move Buffed: Giga Drain

Move Stats: Heals 75% of damage dealt. 30% chance to raise Special Attack one stage.

Activation: Consume an item.

Battle Bond Origin: Napoleon was a host chosen by the voices to conquer the dark and dreaded kingdom of Sinnoh and bring it into a glorious new age of light. Napoleon struggled at first and he di not like Pokémon, but he bonded with a roserade he caught as a budew who impressed him with her strength. They became friends and he chose her to lead his army and rule his Pokémon as queen. She would drain her enemies of strength, including a shiny geodude, and impressed all with her beauty and fabulousness, so Napoleon entered her in a contest. Unfortunately, she lost as they confused beauty and coolness. The two of them shared a love of fabulous fashion, competition and gambling. She led her team through many difficult times, even when she lost her mate and egg in a temporal anomaly. Now, when she uses an accessory, it reminds her of her days as a fabulous queen, filling her with the strength to lead. It also reminds her of her trainer’s love of gambling, so she bets on a chance to make herself even stronger and more fabulous.

Pokémon: Starmie

Battle Bond Name: Misty-Starmie

Base Stats: 60/115 (+ 40)/85/140 (+ 40)/85/145 (+ 30)

Typing: Water/Psychic

Move Buffed: Rapid Spin

Move Stats: Water type. 40 BP.

Activation: Knock out an opposing Pokémon.

Battle Bond Origin: Misty always liked to rely on an all out assault in her duties as gym leader, so she made her starmie her signature Pokémon in gym battles. However, despite its low power, she recognised the usefulness of Rapid Spin and used it often. When her starmie knocks out a Pokémon in an all out assault, it remembers this too and increases its power and uses water to increase the strength of the move while gaining STAB on it.

Battle Bond Activation: Being under effect of either Sun or Grass Terrain.
Buffed Move: Sweet Scent
Move Changes: Parting Shot clone.
Rationale: Roserade is Gardenia's ace.
Competitive: Roserade is now a strong offensive pivot with either Spikes or Toxic Spikes and an excellent pivoting move in Sweet Scent. Bulk is still rather mediocre, and so is the activation condition, though.

Pokemon: Mienshao
Battle Bond Name: Korrina-Mienshao
Base Stats: 115 / 150 / 60 / 105 / 60 / 130 (+50 HP, +25 Atk, +35 Spe)

Move Buffed: Force Palm
Move Stats: 80 BP |
| 60% chance to paralyze and no longer makes contact
Activation: Knock out a foe
Battle Bond Origin: Korrina had a Mienfoo which evolved following vigorous training. She trained its Force Palm to become stronger, releasing a powerful electrical wave that can hit foes normally out of range. | 90 Acc | Can affect Grass-types
Activation: Being at 50% or less of its max hitpoints at the end of its turn
Battle Bond Origin: Tomo's Tangrowth prefers to avoid conflict and fighting when possible, instead choosing to put aggressive Pokemon to sleep. This Tangrowth has developed its Sleep Powder move to the point of being able to put opposing Grass-type Pokemon to sleep, where they would normally be immune.

Pokemon: Roserade
Battle Bond Name: Forsythia-Roserade

/

Move Buffed: Petal Blizzard
Move Stats:
| Sets a layer of Spikes on successful hit
Activation: Knock out a foe
Battle Bond Origin: Forsythia's Roserade was a hero outside of its usual task of making delicious Poffins. When someone needed help, Roserade would don a red mask and go to their rescue. Against opponents, Roserade unleashed a powerful and beautiful Petal Blizzard which could stop most attackers in their tracks thanks to the special petals having their own thorns.

Pokemon: Starmie
Battle Bond Name: Rudy-Starmie
Base Stats: 60 / 75 / 85 / 135 / 130 / 145 (+35 SpA, +45 SpD, +30 Spe)
Typing:
/

Move Buffed: Thunderbolt
Move Stats: Has an Electrify effect
Activation: Being at 50% or less of its max hitpoints at the end of its turn
Battle Bond Origin: Rudy's Starmie learned how to manipulate electricity using its psychic powers, blasting opponents with abnormally powerful electric attacks. Consequently, Starmie became more resilient to Electric-type attacks even though it was a Water-type, allowing it to beat Electric-types that normally would have the advantage. This is the way Rudy trains his beloved Pokemon, to express their innate abilities in unique ways that allow them to beat other Trainers with ease.

Just gonna put my vote in then close voting. I really am the best at remembering. Should probably set some sort of phone alarm.
Also just noticed that Yung Dramps changed too many stats in each of his submissions, including lowering stats which is only allowed on Pokémon with low BSTs. His submissions therefore won't be counted.

The votes are in!
Mienshao's a draw between Brodaha and Sereg. I'm gonna let anyone vote on this tiebreaker, which will be concluded when the next slate enters voting.
Origin0's Rudy-Starmie,
AquaticPanic's Tammy-Tangrowth
and Origin0's Forsythia-Roserade.

Onto the next slate, which I'm sure a certain young drampa will be very happy with.

3 Gens in the waiting
These Pokémon's prevos were introduced in Gen 1 and completed their respective 3 stage evolution chains when added in Gen 4. Enjoy!

Also I'd just like to note something: A lot of you have been making your Battle Bond triggers pretty easy, like clicking a move that is beneficial to the user regardless or simply having a field effect up. Unless the Pokémon really sucks, please refrain from making it too easy to activate (but also don't make it too complex, cos' eventually I have to code these things ;]).
