[OVERVIEW]
Aurorus carves itself a niche as a powerful Ice-type wallbreaker with coverage for a majority of the tier. With two great offensive abilities, it can fire off accurate Blizzards with Snow Warning or powerful Hyper Voices with Refrigerate. Earth Power lets it hit annoying Steel- and Rock-types like Doublade and Aggron, while Freeze-Dry blasts through bulky Water-types like Wishiwashi and Lanturn. Solid bulk also gives it surprising defensive utility despite its poor defensive typing, letting it take a neutral hit or two from Pokemon like Charizard and Vikavolt, OHKOing them in return. Meteor Beam adds another layer to Aurorus's wallbreaking capability, allowing it to switch moves while still having power behind it. However, Aurous is slow and relatively frail, hindering its ability to come in without pivot support. It also has a Stealth Rock weakness, making it quickly worn down by entry hazards. Finally, blanket special walls like Audino, Ferroseed, Gigalith, and Articuno can pivot into it and either use Toxic or hit it for super effective damage.

[SET COMMENTS]
Ancient Power OHKOes Fire-types like Charizard and Centiskorch. Earth Power takes down Steel-type switch-ins like Togedemaru and Aggron, as well as decently hitting Gigalith, which removes Aurorus's hail and boosts its own Special Defense with sand. Freeze-Dry deals with bulky Water-types like Wishiwashi and Lanturn, 2HKOing both. Timid sets can catch Pokemon like Adamant Centiskorch and uninvested Togedemaru, while a Modest nature provides the most power, with Blizzard always 2HKOing Audino and Earth Power having a small chance to 2HKO Gigalith after Stealth Rock. Entry hazard removers like Eldegoss and Sandslash can support Aurorus; Eldegoss running Eject Button can provide Aurorus with a free turn, while Sandslash provides Spikes support as well. Other special wallbreakers such as Charizard and Jolteon appreciate shared checks like Gigalith and Audino being weakened so they can clean more easily; Jolteon also provides pivot support with Volt Switch and likes that Aurorus threatens Ground-types like Sandaconda.

[SET COMMENTS]
Rock Polish lets Aurorus outspeed the entire unboosted tier, making it a great option in conjunction with Meteor Beam, which gives it the power of a Choice Specs user while allowing it to change moves. Hyper Voice and Earth Power provide near-unresisted coverage against the tier. Freeze-Dry can be run to deal with bulky Water-types like Wishiwashi more easily; however, dropping Earth Power leaves Aurorus unable to threaten Steel-types and Gigalith meaningfully. This set fits best on more offensive teams, and on them it enjoys partners like Thwackey, Doublade, and Archeops. Thwackey can use Taunt to deny opposing entry hazards while providing Grassy Terrain support, Doublade can force out special walls like Gigalith for Aurorus, and Archeops helps wear down shared checks like Gigalith. Suicide leads like Lycanroc and Qwilfish can set entry hazards for Aurorus, giving them an easier time breaking past Pokemon like Gigalith,

Ancient Power OHKOs Fire-types like Charizard and Centiskorch without having to predict with Blizzard kinda get what u mean but could be phrased better since blizzard does a ton and wear 'em down or just remove this bit entirely. Earth Power takes down Steel-type switch-ins like Togedemaru and Aggron, as well as hitting Gigalith decently hard. Freeze Dry deals with bulky Water-types like Quagsire and Lanturn, OHKOing the latter, which Blizzard fails to do. A Modest nature provides the most power, while Timid sets can catch Pokemon like Adamant Centiskorch and uninvested Togedemaru off-guard rephrase to represent Timid being first, and include a calc that modest can get that timid can't if possible. Pair Aurorus with entry hazard setters like Gigalith and Weezing, as they help in wearing down switch-ins like opposing Gigalith with their entry hazards. dont think this is very necessary unless there's some kill ud really want hazards for, already wanna talk about hazards more in the polish set Entry hazards removers like Eldegoss and Sandslash can also provide support to Eldegoss Aurorus by removing annoying Stealth Rock; Eldegoss running Eject Button can provide Aurorus with a free turn, while Sandslash provides Spikes support as well. Earth Power lets it hit annoying Steel- and Rock-types like Doublade and Aggron, while Freeze Dry blasts through bulky Water-types like Wishiwashi and Lanturn. A unique defensive typing also gives it surprising defensive utility, letting it check Fire- and Flying-types like Charizard and Galarian Articuno. Is this section (+ the bit that follows about Aurorus being frail) really true? Would it not be more accurate to say that Aurorus has good bulk, allowing it to take some neutral hits, but that its poor defensive typing limits its switch in opportunities. Both examples you give have unresisted stabs into Aurorus so the point about its defensive typing seems weak. Meteor Beam adds another layer to Aurorus' breaking capability, allowing it to switch moves while still having power behind it. However, Aurous is slow and relatively frail, hindering its ability to come in without pivot support. It also has a Stealth Rock weakness, making it quickly worn down by entry hazards. Ancient Power OHKOs Fire-types like Charizard and Centiskorch. Earth Power takes down Steel-type switch-ins like Togedemaru and Aggron, as well as hitting Gigalith decently hard. Freeze Dry deals with bulky Water-types like Quagsire and Lanturn, OHKOing the latter, which Blizzard fails to do. You don't ohko lanturn. Also why the Quag mention when you kill it with blizzard anyway, Wishi or Jellicent would make more sense here Timid sets can catch Pokemon like Adamant Centiskorch and uninvested Togedemaru off-guard, while a Modest nature provides the most power, notably always 2HKOing Audino and having a small chance to 2HKO Gigalith after Stealth Rock. Entry hazards removers like Eldegoss and Sandslash can also provide support to Aurorus by removing annoying entry hazards; Eldegoss running Eject Button can provide Aurorus with a free turn, while Sandslash provides Spikes support as well. Suicide leads like Lycanroc and Qwilfish can set entry hazards for Aurorus, giving an easier time breaking past Pokemon like Gigalith,
