Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I've been playing mons competitively off and on since gen 6, taking breaks that could last years at a time. Despite all the years of playtime, studying and learning as many tricks about predictions and teambuilding as I possibly could, I've hit a wall where I struggle to improve anymore. I hover around 1400 on the ladder, and my last attempt to get reqs didn't go great. I feel like there's something I'm missing where once I learn it and fit it into place, I'll suddenly get much better. Or maybe this is as far as I can go. But I'd like to try and see.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I started playing competitively in early ORAS and spammed primal regression on the ladder I didn't know to play then. I then got more involved with Smogon and started to play in various online competition like VGC 2016, VGC 2018, etc. But I really could use a bit more practice in this new Format VGC 2023 Regulation C, since most teams get through me (Mostly Chi Yu) so I'm looking to get help and mentorship

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I started playing competitive with SwSh OU in 2021, stopped playing until mid 2022. Peaked at about 1350 during that time. Picked it back up with SV OU in March. I understand all of the technicalities about competitive battling, just looking to get better at understanding nuances of battle and improve my both my skill and ranking.

Other Notes: I know this account is fresh, however I never bothered to make a Smogon account until I discovered B101 was a thing. I've had my PS! account for a long time, though. Hopefully this is still acceptable as I am very enthusiastic about improving.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): first tier i ever got into was ag abt fuckin uhh 2015 or 2016 but i was god awful at it till gen 7 came, and then i simply bossed up n peaked ladder a gross amt of times in current gen and during gen 8 ag. gen 7 is my love #1 in mons n ive hit 2100 in it once or twice in cg sm ag and 2000 an embarrassing amt of times for a normal member of society, 97 on 2 accs in sm and 98 gxe on one in sm, a joint account with me and two buddies that would constantly be top 10 no matter what in cg sm, 2070-ish during aglt in gen 8, had some decent showings in sm ag cups vs hella viable players and lost in later rounds due to unfortunate repeated bracket luck, posted a good ass record in the pre playoffs szn of agsd 1 and a worse than i would prefer record in agsd 2, and i rly never fuckin bothered with ss ag in tours but catch me balling out anyw bro. i also did 1v1 to complete the unholy meta dufecta and have posted up some shit in sm like winning an sm 1v1 cup for the first tour i joined, qualing in ss lt twice i think bc i hated ss ag at the time and being a perennial Good Player. im hella a fan of ss and sm ou and oras ou n i'm more than interested in stour, im an sm ladder goon in sm ou as it stands and recently hit 1900 and #1 in sm ou for funsies bc i hadnt yet, ive hit 1970-ish in ss ou during current gen using some empo double ghost shit with rocky helmet chomp bc that team is fucking fun as hell to pilot but i havent had many results other than some shit in the most recent stour (mainly sm, inquire if interested (talk show like regis)). tldr im a ladder hero but actually fucking good. ive got mad friends who are alr supportive wif me playing ss and sm and oras and im tryna get a lil bit of smth going for sv ou bc i havent picked it up yet. help me out if u can, i alr have hella fundamentals from other gens and i think this would firmly be able to help me be more well rounded in a gen im not yet well rounded in. i love all u please pick me the fuck up oh my GOD

I play many tournament, like Uber Open IV (or V idk), but I lose R2 (R1 my oppo don't respond). My peak elo was 1750 in gen8ou on OLT, but I don't guard the elo, and lose all of the point. After a long time, I think became a tutee is beneficial for me

Tell us a little about your competitive experience in Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I started to play VGC in 2021. I didn't discover PS! until 2022 on April Fools Day. I'm very fond of "Same Solo". Its a variation of 1v1 where you bring 1 pokemon thats the same for the opponent. My goal is to get 3rd at the Pokemon VGC World Championships. However, I won't be able to play VGC until generation 10 or 11. So right now, I want to increase my singles knowledge and be able to get to top 500 on the ladder - possibly even participate in Smogon Tournaments.

I used to play a lot of Gen7 OU, but then stopped again in Gen 8. I really got into Other Metagames that time. Now I am very into OM's like Stabmons, AAA etc and also quite decent in that tiers #1 on Stabmons ladder. But I want to play for Austria in the World Cup and need more practice and advice for the current metagame.

I'm a relatively new player. I first joined the competitive scene a little less than two years ago during late SS OU, and since then I think I've made pretty well for myself. I typically ladder around 1500s-1600s, having peaked at 1680 not too long ago. That being said, there's still a lot of stuff that I can't seem to get the hang of for the life of me. The most glaring of these is that, by and large, I tend to thud against defensive teams. I guess it has something to do with poor gameplanning or team composition, I just can't break down stall teams no matter what I do. I also struggle a fair amount with teamcomp and planning out games, which I think feed into it quite a bit. I don't view myself as a bad player per se, but I'd really like to be able to consider myself genuinely good.

I started playing competitively only a few months ago, though I have known and played singles for some time before then. I've been learning SV OU as well as some past gens OU, but I have plateaued in SV and I can't seem to improve my team-building or play. I've played in a few tournaments, and I struggle getting past round 4 or 5, when the competition starts getting a lot tougher. I would like to work on my team-building, so I can try and put forth ideas that are truly my own, while making a team that is still consistent. I also would like to learn how to play more consistently, so that I don't end up shooting myself in the foot and put myself in bad spots for no reason.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I started playing the Pokemon VG back in LGPE, but didn't get into competitive until mid-SwSh. I started maining in Gen 8 AG and Ubers and did relatively well. Lately, I've been trying to branch out but found that many of my skills were less than effective in OU. I seem hardstuck at 1400s sometimes and my teambuilding for this tier is usually subpar. I haven't played in many tournament settings, but I find them really interesting and wish to gain experience with them. My experience in Gen 9 OU specifically is a bit limited, as although I have played since day 1, I have stayed in low ladder for the entirety of the tier. I'm looking forward to working with a tutor to get better in this tier.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I have been aware of the competitive scene for a while but only started playing in August 2022. I usually float around 1450-1600 but have been stuck there for a while. I have peaked in the 1600s a few times, but it feels like pure luck when I get there. The SV meta really stumps me a lot and I find that when I build a team that works, I have no idea what I did right and vice versa. I also find it much easier to plummet 100s of points compared to last gen. I think I lack basic fundamentals, I struggle a lot against set up and stall teams, two archetypes that typically catch new players off guard. I also notice that my range of play styles is very narrow which makes it hard for me to diagnose issues in the team builder. My goal would be to reach 1700-1800

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I started playing mons with my friends in school, simple stuff mostly randbats. I got a lot more into it, and started playing a lot of SS OU, although I was never really good. So far in SV, I have peaked at around 1600s~ (on an alt I forgot the pw to :D), but hit a wall when I reach that barrier. My goal is to be able to reach higher ladder, and a further endgoal is to break top 100 in the OU ladder

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I been playing since gen 4 wi-fi battles. I was pretty bad back then but I've gained more and more experience over the years (Tho I skipped a couple gens). In gen 8 I started playing again and won some small stuff at small communities. Gen 9 I'm playing too and I'm currently between 1600-1700 elo. I have learned the importance of pivoting, respectinc meta treats, and I can make some nice predicts and punch holes in enemy teams. I would say I'm pretty good at battling instincts. But I think my teambuilding is terrible. I just don't know how to build a team. I would love to learn more about professional team building.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I've been playing Pokemon seriously since January of 2022, when I started playing 1v1. Since then, I've played in various tournaments in 1v1, including 1v1 Premier League, 1v1 Old Gens Premier League, and World Cup of 1v1, having gone at least neutral in all of them. However, I know very little about 6v6, so I've wanted to try b101 tutoring to get more basics there.
