Pet Mod Alternatium - Post PMPL Rework

New Pokémon Name: Cramorant
Stat Changes: 90 / 120 / 110 / 100 / 110 / 70
Typing Changes:

Ability Changes: Oblivious / Analytic / Merciless (HA)
Movepool Changes (If Any): +Venoshock, Poison Jab, Baneful Bunker, Beak Blast, Sludge Bomb, Toxic, Gunk Shot | - Hydro Pump, Liquidation, Scald
What Separates it from Other Forms: Baneful Bunker allows for a free poison for Merciless to take effect. This pokemon is quite speedy, and has a pretty good defensive typing, and using Beak Blast it can avoid the recoil from Brave Bird and use the more interesting combination of Beak Blast and Analytic, since it will always move last when using that move.

New Pokémon Name: Cramorant-Gulping
Stat Changes: 80 / 110 / 55 / 110 / 95 / 105
Typing Changes:

Ability Changes: Swift Swim / Unburden (HA)
Movepool Changes (If Any): +Sky Attack, Work Up, Fling, Parting Shot, Acrobatics
What Separates it from Other Forms: This is an ability I think we've been trying to add, and Cramorant is perfect flavor wise. Competitively, just add on Acro and its good to go, it can set up with Work Up too if it is using other methods to give itself more speed, such as Terrain Seeds. But with berries, its special attack is good enough for it to utilize Belch if it wants too, though less reasonable for this mon.

It can also provide an extra slot on Rain to abuse Hurricane, and Weather Ball, but unlike Kyogre + Tornadus, Cramorant is also rocks weak, lacks setup, and does not have the same coverage Kyogre does on rain, but hits slightly harder, and its Hurricane is actually STAB.

New Pokémon Name: Cramorant-Gorging
Stat Changes: 100 / 110 / 105 / 90 / 85 / 90
Typing Changes:

Ability Changes: Static / Preening / Lightning Rod (HA)
Movepool Changes (If Any): +Calm Mind, Dragon Dance, Toxic, Volt Switch, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Volt Tackle | -Scald, Hydro Pump, Water Gun
What Separates it from Other Forms: Preening is probably the ability you want to run here depending on its role. It acts as a free leftovers for when you activate roost which pairs really well with Calm Mind. Alternatively, if you decide to run DD instead, it can sustain its longevity with Roost + Preening, and can brush off the recoil from Volt Tackle and Brave Bird. But CM is cooler due to the fact that it has BoltBeam coverage, which allows it to damage a variety of pokemon in the metagame, and isn't completely walled by something like Rotom-Fan.
After using a flying type move, this pokemon gains the Preening volatile, which restores 1/8 of its HP at the end of each turn.

New Pokémon Name: Eiscue
Stat Changes: 50 / 50 / 165 / 100 / 165 / 20
Typing Changes:

Ability Changes: Sublimation
Movepool Changes (If Any): +Amnesia, Roost, Toxic, Court Change, Burning Jealousy
What Separates it from Other Forms: Introducing our bulky Ice type. This thing's bulk is actually crazy, and with Roost at its disposal, it will be very tough to take down. Even uninvested attacks from this thing aren't worth taking, and Burning Jealousy is a nasty way to stop a setup sweeper right in its tracks.
When this pokemon is hit by or uses a fire type move, it triggers the Haze effect. Immunity to fire.

New Pokémon Name: Eiscue-Noice
Stat Changes: 75 / 110 / 80 / 65 / 80 / 130
Typing Changes:

Ability Changes: Water Veil / Fish Lure (HA)
Movepool Changes (If Any): +Swords Dance, Memento, Taunt, Toxic, Spikes, Triple Axel, Ice Shard, Aqua Jet | -Freeze Dry
What Separates it from Other Forms: Water trapping would be seemingly strong on a pokemon with super-effective coverage against them, except in this case its not. Eiscue not only has nothing for water types, but it also has Soak to change the type of any pokemon it chooses to, allowing it to set up on basically anything, but having a troublesome time revenge killing them back. It can run a supportive set, locking opponents into a Memento after setting up hazards, always forcing but punishing a switch. Even when its not intentionally soaking its target, it is still capable of trapping Kyogre, Ninetales, Slowbro and Slowking. All of which absorb its attacks pretty well, but Kyogre, Slowbro and Ninetales are still neutral, to its STAB combination while Slowking has much lower defense, but can make quick work of eiscue with basically any electric move.
Traps opposing Water type pokemon.

Notably, we will be going on an extended hiatus. A lot of our patrons have been fatigued and or burnt out, and a break to rest our creative minds will be most welcome. After this histus is over, we will be doing the final two slates of Alternatium - Mimikyu and Morpeko, then the Zygarde family. See ya we when we see ya!

Servus!

I wanted to take the oppoturnity and talk about our Viability List. I won't discuss anything from Slate 21 onwards since I hate really limited (if any lol) experience with them. I will also look at some mons that could get a nerf (spoiler: the s tiers).
I will put them in Spoilers, in order to make this post as clear as possible

:wormadam: B+ (Great speed, nice utility, bad typing)
:wormadam-sandy: A+ (Nice typing, really good utility, good ability with typing and good stats, recovery)
:wormadam-trash: A (Really good typing, recovery, heatproof, good utility)
:farfetchd: B- (bad typing, bad movepool, has nice offensive potential but niche)
:farfetchd-galar: A- (nice stats, two useful abilites, Fighting STAB, nice bulk with Eviolite, utility in Defog and Knock Off)
:corsola: A (Stealth Rock, nice bulk, immense power, toxic immunity)
:corsola-galar: A (great Stealth Rocker, good wall, check to Deo-S)
:shaymin: A- (nice check to set-up sweepers, great bulk)
:shaymin-sky: A- (great abilities, good speed, versatile offense)
:keldeo: B+ (good abilities, great utility, lacks good defensive utility)
:keldeo-resolute: B (nice typing, offensive versatility, requires set-up to be threatening tho)
:meloetta: A+ (nice bulk, great offensive potential, meh typing)
:meloetta-pirouette: A+ (fast and strong, great abilites, nice utility)

:rotom: A (Amazing utility, good bulk with Eviolite,
:deoxys-defense: A- (huge step up, checks the 2 most dangerous S tiers, has utility in Knock, SR, Teleport and isn't passive)
:genesect:(Password) A- (Immense set versatility, situational but potentially devastating ability)
:zacian: B+ (criminally underrated, status immunity for an offensive Pokemon and great coverage)
:ninetales: B+ (new moves are a blessing to it, still struggles with the primals but does way better now)
:deoxys: B (new moves help it out, still struggles with common Pokemon)

:linoone: A (Still great, but the stat nerf hurt it)
:pikachu-partner: A- (Never understood the appeal, it's still good but not as good as the rest of A)
:darmanitan-zen: B (Really passive, Wish is nice but can be played around with offensive pressure, not even as good as everything in A- and B+)

Now let's talk about these now: :kyogre-primal::deoxys-speed::sandslash:
The problem with them is that they are all need to be kept in check, but they are so different from another so checking them becomes difficult. Grass-types check Pogre and Sandslash, but loose to Deo-S. Dark-types check Deo-S but loose to the other two. Deoxys-Tank check Pogre and Deo-S (admittingly the 2 dangerous ones), but looses to Sandslash. Fantom checks Sandslash, but looses to the rest. I think you get the idea. Imo atleast 1 should get hard nerfed with 1 getting a slight nerf or 2 should get medium nerfs.

:ss/kyogre-primal:
This thing is stupid. I kinda forgot that it won't need Blue Orb to be usable, so it can just run Specs and Leftovers. Specs sets destroyed most Pokemon. Even resists need good bulk in order to check, so an ability that is immune to Water, but the Pokemon with these abilities loose to its Grass STAB. SpDef sets can ruin its checks with Scald burns and it has even great bulk and typing.
I would make it a Water/Ice types and change its Grass moves into Ice moves. I know, Ice is better offensively, but it doesn't do it any favors with a Water STAB, plus our Water- and Ice-types are better at checking it than our Grass- and Dragon-types atm. It also kills the defensive set with its lack of Giga Drain and SR weakness, the latter not giving it many oppoturnities to switch in.

:ss/deoxys-speed:
Deo-S has one of the best speed tiers and spamming Psycho Boost and Overheat without any drawback is just broken. It also has automatic HDB so it can just come in and don't care about anything. The only way to deal with it is to either hope for a miss or revenge kill it with a Pursuit user that is able to tank a hit from Overheat or Psycho Boost, if the trapper isn't a Dark-type.
I have two ideas for nerfs. First one is removing the stat boost nullifier, which the spammable nature of Overheat and Psycho Boost. This still makes it threatening, but way easier to revenge kill and Recover stall against, with non resists or frail resists being able to deal with it. The other nerf is halving the HDB effect. What I mean is that it still takes damage, but not as bad as it would. That doesn't allow it to come in forever and wears it down more easily. (For reference: SR and Spikes do 1/2 damage; Tspikes at 2 layers inflicts regular Poison; Tspikes at 1 layer and Sticky Web immunity)

:ss/sandslash:
This thing is the least broken and actually pretty balanced. The problem is that you still need to check it, otherwise you straight up loose. Fantom and Grass-types do well, but they are easily defeated by Fire Punch. Rapid Spin makes matches against offense easier and SD makes bulkier teams feel like sweeping against a HO team.
The only thing I would do is removing Fire Punch and/or lowering its Atk. These aren't big changes, but idt that it needs much to be more balanced. Heck, I think we could add recovery to it (something that JosJet suggested) and I don't think that it would be broken with that since it has somewhat of a 4MSS and recovery would only fit on more bulkier sets.

Anyways, that's it for now. Cya!

PENULTIMATIUM ALTERNATIUM

Yes that's right. Alternatium will be coming back for it's final two slates. I announced what the two final slates will entail almost a month ago, so I will just straight to the point.

Mimikyu and Morpeko are mons that are both related to Pikachu. Mimikyu has had niche usage on HO teams in the past but has more or less succumbed to power creep; Morpeko has been a crappy gimmick since it's inception. It's your job to make these interesting gimmicks shine!

Ability Changes: Static / Fluffy (HA)
Movepool Changes (If Any): +Charge, +Volt Switch, +Hyper Voice, +Body Slam, +U-Turn | -Play Rough, -Dazzling Gleam, -Draining Kiss, -Wood Hammer, -X-Scissor
What Separates it from Other Forms: Here's another nice little Trick Room setter. But its also a nice wall, takes advantage of the Ghost/Normal typing and its lack of many weaknesses.

New Pokémon Name: Mimikyu
Stat Changes: 70 / 130 / 90 / 59 / 90 / 96 (535)
Typing Changes:

Ability Changes: Static Cling / Shadow Shield (HA)
Movepool Changes (If Any): +Spirit Break, +Poltergeist, +Strength Sap, +U-Turn | -Wood Hammer
What Separates it from Other Forms: Mimikyu lacks one thing: A Good STAB. It also loses the merit of disguise so I gave it Shadow Shield to kind of mimic that. It really just wants to abuse SD with its massive attack and shatter everything in the tier, and can also fulfill the role of a Choice Band or Scarf user and never lose its item thanks to Static Cling.

New Pokémon Name: Morpeko
Stat Changes: 90 / 80 / 95 / 50 / 95 / 140 (555)
Typing Changes:

Ability Changes: Infiltrator / Cheek Pouch (HA)
Movepool Additions: Nuzzle, Knock Off, Recycle, Stuff Cheeks
Movepool Removals: none
What Separates it from Other Forms: Morpeko is a nice form of Hazard Control with Rapid Spin and parting shot. It can also spread status beyond Substitute thanks to Infiltrator. It has a niche with Cheek Pouch similar to Dedenne, where it can spam Recycle and Nuzzle to annoy the opponent.

:sm/morpeko-hangry:
New Pokémon Name: Morvilant (literally More + Violent)
Stat Changes: 100 / 80 / 75 / 80 / 75 / 110 (530)
Typing Changes:

Ability Changes: Intimidate / Gluttony (HA)
Movepool Additions: Belly Drum, Toxic, Sucker Punch, Recycle, Gunk Shot, Poison Jab, Belch, Sludge Wave, Drain Punch
Movepool Removals: none
What Separates it from Other Forms: Morvilant is meant to abuse Belly Drum. It can rely on Power Trip and raising its own speed through Aura Wheel, and both are very strong STAB's. It has Drain Punch to keep it alive and pretty for decent coverage. Can also be used as a pivot.

Typing Changes:

Ability Changes: Magic Guard

Hyper Voice, Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam
Lovely Kiss, Stuff Cheeks, Moonlight, Calm Mind

Dark Pulse, Electro Ball, Electroweb, Rising Voltage, Snarl, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Thunder Shock, Volt Switch
Charge, Electric Terrain, Fake Tears, Flatter, Parting Shot, Quash, Thunder Wave
Intended Roles: Physical Wallbreaker, Sleeper, Set-up Sweeper (Nasty Plot)
What Separates it from Other Forms: Morpeko is meant to be an decently bulky and decently strong Magic Guard abuser. Happy Aura, Lovely Kiss and Stuff Cheecks give it a unique way to be used. Happy Aura is a great utility move that can't be blocked, while Lovely Kiss makes it a nice lead or dangerous attacker, while Stuff Cheeks makes it more dangerous when using a Calm Mind set. Of course there are other options. Nasty Plot, while niche, can still be effective and CB/physical LO sets have a monsterous Double-Edge with no drawback. It has some nice match-ups against some of the top mons like Dugtrio, Linoone-P, both Giratinas and some Dragons, however it struggles against all of the S tiers.

Intended Roles: Mixed Wallbreaker, Set-Up Sweeper (Swords Dance, Nasty Plot)
What Separates it from Other Forms: While not reaching the utility and defensive profile of its counterpart, Hangreko has offensive power. Dark/Dragon is really good offensively. While not hitting Fairies with its usual STABs, Mad Aura helps it against those match-ups. Its speed is quite good for the tier and while its Atk is really low, Tough Claws and SD makes it worth using, especially when it has a STAB Sucker Punch for faster Pokemon. The other offensive Dragons give it competition tho. Eternatus, Giratina, Manustorm and Thundurus-T have amazing defensive utility while Deoxys-Tank and Silvally-Dragon check one or two of the best Pokemon in tier while also having great utility and splashability. Deoxys-Gem doesn't have defensive utility, but it is really versatile offensively and has immense power with its higher stats and ability. Still Hangreko is the fastest Dragon, has Nasty Plot and has a Dragon STAB that hits Fairies.

New Pokémon Name: Morpeko-Marsh
Stat Changes: 80/100/95/50/115/110 (550)
Typing Changes:

Ability Changes: Strong Jaw, Wash Up (HA)
On switch-in, this Pokemon summons the Water Sport effect.
Movepool Changes (If Any):
+Darkest Lariat, +Grassy Glide, +Hammer Arm, +Knock Off, +Power Whip, +Sucker Punch, +U-turn
...
+Bulk Up, +Haze, +Recover, +Spikes, +Spiky Shield, +Toxic
-Aura Wheel

What Separates it from Other Forms: Fringe defensive mon with an ability that allows it to help check the Big 3 in the meta rn, atleast with some smart plays. Be warned that this mon cannot solely reliably handle the Big 3 as they have traits that threaten Morpeko outright; Pogre's Signal Beam, Deoxy's Ice Beam coverage and Sandslash's STAB Fairy type moves. However, as mentioned before, Morpeko's traits allows it to support its teammates to help handle the Big 3 better. Let me explain.

Water Sport is a status move that reduces the damage of Fire-type moves on the field by 67%. The main problem though is, this move along with Mud Sport, are completely useless competitively as they take up a 4th of your moveslot and waste a turn trying to set it in the first place. Wash Up circumvents this issue entirely and retains all of the bonuses, basically making Morpeko and its teammates neutral against Fire-type attacks for about 5 turns. This makes dealing with the Big 3 much easier as stated before, as important coverage and STAB options are now much less potent, most notably Deoxys-Speed's Overheat and Sandslash's Fire Punch, which normally are run to check defensive Steel-types and can now be switched in without having to worry so much. This also gives Morpeko notable niches over other Fire-type mons, like Castform, Darm-Zen, and Rotom Heat. Again, these mons have things that can check and wittle down Morpeko but with smart plays you can pave the way for your teammates well to get them in safely with moves like U-turn and especially Parting Shot. Lastly, Morpeko can take a role outside of support and try its hand out as a physical attacker with its surprising Fang based movepool and dual STABs allowing it to work well with Strong Jaw and the potential of Choice items.

:swsh/morpeko-hangry:
New Pokémon Name: Morpeko-Crag
Stat Changes: 100/100/110/110/90/40 (550)
Typing Changes:

Ability Changes: Poison Heal, Mud Bath (HA)
On switch-in, this Pokemon summons the Mud Sport effect.
Movepool Changes (If Any):
+Earthquake, +Flare Blitz
+Earth Power, +Fire Blast, +Flamethrower, +Heat Wave
+Calm Mind, +Haze, +Recover, +Stealth Rock, +Teleport, +Toxic, +Will-O-Wisp, +Wish
-Aura Wheel
...
...
What Separates it from Other Forms: Bulky defensive Ground-type that is the counterpart to Morpeko-Marsh, but this sub makes use of its -sport effect differently in that this mon doesn't directly benefit it. Unlike Marsh whose ability gives it a niche in that it can safely switch into Fire-type attacks and mons and can threaten them out while pivoting offensively, Morpeko-Crag is already immune to Electric-type moves and thus uses its ability as pure support, unlike Marsh's sort of half support.

Mud Sport's ability to reduce Electric-type attacks by 67% gives it excellent support for mons like Rotom-Fan, Keldeo, and Eiscue. This support role is exemplified by Crag's moveset with access to Stealth Rock, Teleport for pivoting, and Will-O-Wisp to cripple physical attackers. Similarly to Marsh's, although this mon can threaten out Electric types with smart prediction, said Electric types also has options to threaten Crag like Castform-Thunderstorm, Cramorant-Gorging (Ground-type immunity), and Pikachu-Starter. Although Crag doesn't have the same affiliation against the Big 3 as Marsh, it's unique traits actually give it the natural ability to blanket check a few of the Big 3 and allow it's teammates more safety. Lastly, this mon can take a less supportive role and go full defense with Poison Heal which allows this mon to absorb status while also having good recovery.

This pokemon recovers 1/10 of its max HP if its targetted by a Status move.
My only quam with Mimikyu Decoy is that it seems to heavily step on the toes of our other Ghost Bug type Vivillion. Any chance you can shift this to a special leaning Pokémon, so that these two Pokemon play distinctly fron each other? Very much appreciated.

New Pokémon Name: Pikaboo
Stat Changes: 100 / 90 / 90 / 90 / 90 / 75 (535)
Typing Changes:

Ability Changes: Static / Fluffy (HA)

What Separates it from Other Forms: Here's another nice little Trick Room setter. But its also a nice wall, takes advantage of the Ghost/Normal typing and its lack of many weaknesses.

New Pokémon Name: Mimikyu
Stat Changes: 70 / 130 / 90 / 45 / 90 / 110 (535)

New Pokémon Name: Morvilant
Stat Changes: 100 / 80 / 75 / 80 / 75 / 110 (530)
Typing Changes:

Ability Changes: Intimidate / Gluttony (HA)
Movepool Additions: Belly Drum, Toxic, Gunk Shot, Poison Jab, Belch, Sludge Wave, Drain Punch
Pikaboo is too much with Fluffy in my opinion, and if you keep it I think both Sap and Cotton Guard have to go to compensate. Otherwise with all of that + Will O Wisp, it basically prevents physical attackers from ever progressing on it.

Mimikyu is qlso similwrpy overstated. 110 Speed is great in this meta. 130 Atk, SD and a 110 BP STAB is also great in this meta. Shadow Shield in combo with its decent bulk and typing basically makes it an immediate top tier, and I don't think that is something we should be etching for at this stage of the game.

Rest of them are great Pokémon, but I know you are gonna be mad if Morvilant wins and everyone uses it as the utility defensive pivot it is designed to be :-D

O don't have a problem with the Defeatist concept here, what I really have a problem with is trying to again raise the speed ceiling at this stage in the meta. Lmao you've done this three different times. Linoone-Punk being the ceiling of our speed tier as it was balanced around being is quite fine, you do not and shouldn't try and one up it at this point.

I am just weary on Auto setting TR, we've seen what effects these stuff have on multiple previous metagames. It's not something I'd want to see get replicated here.

I think that is the scope of anything too concerning here. Dropping a 52 Hour Warning (which means this slate ends at around 9:15 pm EST Friday) giving everyone the time they need to revise, tinker with and or add new submissions. Good luck!
