[OVERVIEW]
While Alolan Persian has various desirable qualities between a diverse movepool, a great ability in Fur Coat, and an amazing Speed stat, they ultimately aren't enough to keep it from being a niche option. A lack of reliable recovery makes Alolan Persian very easy to wear down throughout the match via entry hazards and sand damage, limiting how many times it can switch into attacks or pivot in and out. The metagame's abundance of Fairy-types can prove difficult for Alolan Persian, with Ribombee and Whimsicott even outspeeding it naturally. Offensively, with Alolan Persian's mediocre offensive stats and lack of a secondary typing, it is notably outclassed by Sneasel, which shares its base 115 Speed and Dark typing. However, Alolan Persian's high Speed and great utility moves stop it from being completely deadweight, specifically when paired with Choice Scarf, which allows it to cripple bulky threats with Switcheroo and serve as an extremely fast pivot. While Choice Scarf may seem redundant with Alolan Persian's high Speed, it allows Alolan Persian to outspeed even more Pokemon like Sand Rush Sandslash, +1 Flame Charge Silvally-Fairy, and non-Choice Scarf Whimsicott.

[SET COMMENTS]
When paired with Choice Scarf, Switcheroo can cripple walls like Quagsire and Gigalith. With 232 Speed EVs and a Jolly nature, Alolan Persian outspeeds Lycanroc and Archeops even after losing its Choice Scarf. Parting Shot or U-turn are vital to gain and maintain momentum: Parting Shot weakens the foe at risk of triggering Galarian Articuno's Competitive, while U-turn provides negligible chip damage but risks self-damage from Rocky Helmet and Iron Barbs. STAB Knock Off alongside Switcheroo gives Alolan Persian great item control, although remember that Knock Off would remove the foe's Choice Scarf after Switcheroo. Gunk Shot is Alolan Persian's best coverage option, hitting Fairy-types like Ribombee and Whimsicott, although be aware that Ribombee can also run Choice Scarf and outspeed Alolan Persian. Alternatively, Foul Play helps make up for Alolan Persian's low Attack stat, Toxic further cripples defensive threats, and Taunt stops moves like Gigalith's Stealth Rock or Tangela's Sleep Powder. Alolan Persian is best as a lead, using Switcheroo against common leads like Gigalith and Ferroseed or pivoting out to gain early momentum. Alolan Persian can continue to pivot in and out throughout the match and serve as speed control if still holding the Choice Scarf. As a pivot, Alolan Persian pairs well with other pivots like Wishiwashi and Vikavolt to maintain momentum, entry hazard removers like Silvally-Steel and Charizard to switch in more, and hazard setters like Mesprit and Sandslash to further punish the opponent's switches. Lastly, Alolan Persian's Switcheroo can give Pokemon like Ribombee and Silvally-Ghost free turns to set up, potentially locking foes into utility moves like Stealth Rock or resisted attacks like Drain Punch.

Lack of reliable recovery makes Alolan Persian very easy to wear down throughout the match via hazards and sandstorm damage, limiting how much it can switch into attacks or pivot in and out. The abundance of Fairy-types can prove difficult for Alolan Persian, even being naturally outsped by Ribombee and Whimsicott. Switcheroo can be used to choice-lock and cripple bulky threats like Gigalith and Wishiwashi while Parting Shot and U-turn allowing it to gain momentum (this is all dex data that is said in the overview, remove it). While Choice Scarf may seem redundant with Alolan Persian's high Speed, the item also furthers its capabilities as speed control, allowing Alolan Persian to outspeed Pokemon like Sand Rush Sandslash, Flame Charge Silvally-Fairy, and non-Choice Scarf Whimsicott.

When paired with Switcheroo, the Choice Scarf can be used to cripple walls like Quagsire and Gigalith or simply lock a foe into a suboptimal move such as Stealth Rock or Substitute. (fluff) Even after losing its Choice Scarf, Alolan Persian remains at a very high Speed tier, with 232 Speed EVs and a Jolly nature allowing it to creep Lycanroc-Midday and Archeops (move the "after losing its Choice Scarf" part to the end of this sentence and remove the thing about Alolan Persian having a high Speed tier). Parting Shot or U-turn are vital on Alolan Persian for allowing it to gain or maintain momentum (explain why you would run one over the other). Knock Off alongside Switcheroo gives Alolan Persian great item control, although it is notable that Knock Off would remove the foe's Choice Scarf after Switcheroo. Gunk Shot is Alolan Persian's best coverage option, hitting Fairy-types like Ribombee and Whimsicott, although be wary that both can run their own Choice Scarf and outspeed Alolan Persian (Ribombee yes but no one is running Choice Scarf Whimsicott). Alternatively, the last slot can be filled with a utility move such as Foul Play to help make up for Alolan Persian's low Attack stat, Toxic to further cripple defensive threats, or Taunt to stop moves like Gigalith's Stealth Rock or Tangela's Sleep Powder. Alolan Persian is best used as a lead, being able to use Switcheroo on common leads like Gigalith and Ferroseed or pivot out to gain early momentum. Alolan Persian can continue to pivot in and out throughout the match and serve as speed control if still holding the Choice Scarf. As a pivot, Alolan Persian pairs well with other pivots like Wishiwashi and Vikavolt to maintain momentum, hazard removers like Silvally-Steel and Charizard to let it switch in more, and hazard setters like Mesprit and Weezing (add a Spiker here) to punish opponent's switches. Lastly, Pokemon like Ribombee and Silvally-Ghost can abuse choice-locked foes from Alolan Persian's Switcheroo (like?) for free turns to set up.

When paired with Switcheroo, the Choice Scarf can be used to cripple walls like Quagsire and Gigalith. With 232 Speed EVs and a Jolly nature Alolan Persian creeps Lycanroc-Midday I think you can call it just "Lycanroc" and Archeops after losing its Choice Scarf. Parting Shot or U-turn are vital on Alolan Persian for allowing it to gain or maintain momentum, while weakening the foe or providing chip damage respectively uturn can get chipped by helmet, imo that's a big thing for making it worse. its chip is negligible.
