I made this team because I wanted to use Mega Zam + Tapu Lele with Tyranitar + Excadrill. I know this team isn't great defensively...
at all, with 1 only water resist and 1 ground immunity, but it is a lot of fun to use.

This is a very popular core, Mega Zam + Lele. Tapu Lele sets up psychic terrain, boosting Alakazam's Psychic moves and
shielding it from any priority moves, Alakazam hits like truck, which Lele appreciates if it plans on sweeping late-game.

Ferrothorn is here to act as a defensive steel type, which the offensive Pokemon on this team appreciate, a rocker,
and the only Ash-Greninja switch-in.

Another very powerful core in the form of Ttar + Excadrill. Tyranitar has Smooth Rock to give Excadrill more opportunities to sweep.
Ttar is also able to get rid of ghost types which might be a problem for Zam and Lele. Excadrill under sand can pretty much either beat
or chip everything in the meta and acts as a threat to steel types, which make a late-game sweep with Alakazam or Tapu Lele
even easier, thats if Excadrill isn't already sweeping.

Tornadus-Therian is here as a pivot, a defoger and to help with bulky grass types, mainly Tangrowth.

Though this team is pretty fun to use, it isn't great defensively, so I need help in that department.
Please suggest changes in pokemon or movesets, input is greatly appreciated! :) :) :)

I think you could use Chesnaught over Ferrothorn. Gives you a little more offense, access to recovery and less of a weakness to fighting.

You could go with Zapdos as your defogger, a little extra physical bulk, plus it’ll handle water, fighting and grass if you give it heat wave

Sounds good, I'll definitely try it out! :)

I don’t recommend using Chesnaught as it is not suitable for OU, and it doesn’t have the necessary Sp.Def to tank Special hits. It does have a high Defense, but Ferrothorn’s is higher. Chesnaught also can’t take on Rain as well as Ferrothorn does, which is a major issue with this team. In fact, Ferrothorn is crucial to this team for providing a defensive backbone. Chesnaught is also a less solid answer to Ash-Greninja, which is a major issue due to Ash-Gren’s severe sweeping power and popularity. Take a look at these calcs:

252 SpA Choice Specs Greninja-Ash Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 232+ SpD Ferrothorn: 145-172 (41.1 - 48.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 SpA Choice Specs Greninja-Ash Dark Pulse vs. 244 HP / 0 SpD Chesnaught: 140-165 (37 - 43.6%) -- 99.9% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 SpA Choice Specs Greninja-Ash Ice Beam vs. 244 HP / 0 SpD Chesnaught: 420-496 (111.1 - 131.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Choice Specs Greninja-Ash Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 232+ SpD Ferrothorn: 110-130 (31.2 - 36.9%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 SpA Choice Specs Greninja-Ash Hydro Pump vs. 244 HP / 0 SpD Chesnaught: 192-227 (50.7 - 60%) -- 87.5% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 SpA Choice Specs Greninja-Ash Hydro Pump vs. 252 HP / 232+ SpD Ferrothorn: 100-118 (28.4 - 33.5%) -- 94.9% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

Nooooooo don’t do that Chesnaught is horribly unfit for OU, and it doesn’t serve the purpose of Ferrothorn at all. Ferrothorn is supposed to be Defensive to tank hits, whereas Chesnaught is not Specially tanky at all. It can’t take on Rain as well as Ferrothorn does, which is a major issue with this team. In fact, Ferrothorn is crucial to this team for providing a defensive backbone. (Not that Chesnaught is even Steel-type to begin with!) Chesnaught also can’t provide an answer to Ash-Greninja, which is a major issue due to Ash-Gren’s severe sweeping power and popularity. Take a look at these calcs:

Those calcs are incredibly missleading. Not only does Ash Gren almost never carry Ice Beam, but you're comparing a Ferrothorn with heavy SpDef investment with a Chestnaught with none.

I was using standard sets (which his Ferrothorn is). I don’t think you would invest a Chesnaught in SpDef. I’m not trying to insult anybody here (at least, I hope not) and just trying to say that Chesnaught is worse than Ferrothorn at occupying its own role (also, I did Hydro Pump calcs as well).
I hope I wasn’t giving the impression of being a stuck-up little beast. I’ll rephrase that comment and add a bit more calcs in.

Why the hell wouldn't you, when it means it can actually function as an Ash-Gren answer? Just because it runs phys def in UU, doesn't mean it should run that in OU.

I'm not saying that Chesnaught is necessarily better than Ferrothorn on this team, but it's at least usable in OU with a spdef set. It's a bit like a mix between Ferrothorn and Tapu Bulu.
