QC 2/3- Chloe, QT
Overview
Arceus-Fairy is one of the best support Arceus formes in the metagame due to the utility of Fairy-typing in taking on major threats such as Mega Rayquaza and Marshadow. It's excellent in both an offensive and defensive capacity, with its excellent typing and stats being backed up by a wide support movepool which includes Defog, Stealth Rock, Calm Mind, and Recover. However, its Fairy typing also has the drawback of leaving Arceus-Fairy fairly vulnerable to very common Steel and Fire-types such as Celesteela, Arceus-Steel, and Ho-oh. Arceus-Fairy is also rather prone to being worn down as it is vulnerable to all forms of entry hazards, lacks any passive recovery, and has to switch into some of the strongest attackers Anything Goes has to offer over and over.

Moves
Judgment is Arceus-Fairy's main STAB attack to threaten Pokemon such as Yveltal and Marshadow. Recover keeps Arceus-Fairy healthy, while Toxic whittles away at its opponents. Arceus-Fairy can choose to set or remove entry hazards depending on what the rest of its team requires.
Set Details
Near maximum defense and HP investment and a Bold nature lets Arceus-Fairy take on strong physical threats like Mega Rayquaza better, while reduced HP takes less damage from entry hazards. 16 Speed outspeeds max Speed Ho-Oh and Primal Groudon. An alternate spread of 248 HP / 164 Def / 96 Speed Timid is highly useful for outspeeding Timid Yveltal and Adamant Mega Rayquaza, but the decrease in physical bulk means that Arceus-Ground's +2 Tectonic Rage and Marshadow's +1 Soul Stealing Seven Star Strike will both OHKO Arceus-Fairy after Stealth Rock.
Usage Tips
Arceus-Fairy can check Mega Rayquaza but is not a perfect switchin as Life Orb or Choice Band Dragon Ascent can 2HKO, especially with prior damage. As such, Arceus-Fairy needs to be played extremely carefully around Mega Rayquaza. Try to keep it healthy by using Recover frequently as pokemon like offensive Yveltal or Marshadow can break through Arceus-Fairy if it is weakened sufficiently. Use Defog or Stealth Rock whenever necessary to support your team, generally while facing Pokemon that are forced out by Arceus-Fairy such as Zygarde. Although Arceus-Fairy can reliably take on support Primal Groudon, beware of Swords Dance which can break through Arceus-Fairy pretty easily if caught off guard. ]Arceus-Fairy can also be setup fodder for many Steel-types like Arceus-Steel, so if they pose a significant threat try to keep doubling out to avoid giving them free setup opportunities. Also try to keep away from Mega Gengar and Gothitelle to avoid being trapped and KOed.
Team Options
This set is an easy switchin for most every Steel-type in the metagame so very solid Steel switchins such as Ho-oh or Primal Kyogre, are very important.Secondary checks to Mega Rayquaza such as Celesteela, Skarmory, and Arceus-Rock are useful to provide teams with both a Dragon Ascent and coverage move switchin. Arceus-Fairy also has a very hard time with Mega Gengar and Gothitelle, so Pursuit support from Tyranitar or Alolan Muk is beneficial. Dark- and Ghost-weak pokemon like Lunala or Extreme Killer Arceus really appreciate having a solid switchin to Yveltal and Marshadow on their side. Many sweepers such as Mega Rayquaza and Geomancy Xerneas enjoy Arceus-Fairy's Stealth Rock support, while Stealth Rock weak pokemon such as Ho-oh and Yveltal appreciate the Defog support. Checks to offensive Primal Groudon such as Arceus-Ground and Mega Rayquaza help to shore up another one of Arceus-Fairy's weaknesses. Additionally, Arceus-Fairy is complete setup fodder for Xerneas, so Pokemon such as Arceus-Poison or Magearna, as well as priority users such as Arceus, can help to cover that weakness.

- Earth Power / Fire Blast
Set Comments
Moves
Calm Mind boosts Special Attack and Special Defense, allowing Arceus-Fairy to sweep through weakened teams and better take on special attackers such as Primal Kyogre. Judgment is Arceus-Fairy's main STAB move, while Recover allows it to accumulate boosts while staying healthy. Earth Power allows Arceus-Fairy to hit Primal Groudon and several Steel-types such as Arceus-Steel for super effective damage, while Fire Blast misses out on Primal Groudon but hits Ground neutral or immune Steel-types such as Ferrothorn and Celesteela.
Set Details
The HP and Defense EVs allow Arceus-Fairy to survive a single +1 Lum Dragon Ascent or Choice Banded Dragon Ascent from Mega Rayquaza after Stealth Rock and a +1 Soul Stealing Seven Star Strike from Marshadow before Stealth Rock. 252 Speed and a Timid nature is used to speed tie with opposing Arceus-formes, as well as outspeeding anything slower such as Yveltal.
Usage Tips
Don't expect to sweep until late-game when checks like Arceus-Poison and Ho-Oh have been dealt with, since they shut down Calm Mind Arceus-Fairy rather effectively. However, Arceus-Fairy can still have good utility early to mid game in checking Dark- and Dragon-types such as Yveltal. Try to avoid setting up on status users like Lugia since they can put Arceus-Fairy on a timer. It's generally easiest to set up on Dragon-, Fighting-, or Dark-types you scare out like Zygarde, Marshadow, or Arceus-Dark.
Team Options
Arceus-Fairy is most often fit onto balanced teams that need a check to Yveltal, Marshadow, and other balance breakers. Ho-Oh checks such as Arceus-Rock and Zygarde are useful, as well as reliable Stealth Rock setters to keep it weakened. Steel-type checks such as Arceus-Ground, Primal Groudon and Zygarde-Complete are key. The first two can also set Stealth Rock. Mega Gengar can be useful for picking off or weakening checks such as Ferrothorn, Magearna, or Celesteela for Arceus-Fairy to sweep better. Spikes support from Pokemon like Skarmory and Ferrothorn can also be useful for wearing down grounded Steel-types. Secondary checks to Dragon Dance Mega Rayquaza such as the aforementioned Skarmory and Extreme Killer Arceus are going to be needed because this set opts to not run as much bulk as support.
Strategy Comments
Other Options
Iron Defense or Refresh are options over Earth Power or Fire Blast on Calm Mind Arceus-Fairy to wall Ho-Oh or keep you status free and break through Chansey and Blissey respectively, but both drop crucial coverage vs Steel-types. Support can also run 72 HP / 184 Def / 252 Spe to check Mega Rayquaza more offensively but this hinders its ability to tank hits from stuff Pokemon such as Arceus-Ground. Similarly, a spread of 244 HP / 48 SpA / 216 Spe and a Timid Nature can also be used for outspeeding Jolly Mega Rayquaza on support Arceus-Fairy, especially variants running Stealth Rock, but the loss of bulk is highly noticeable. Offensive sets can opt to run Stone Edge to lure Ho-Oh, but this is an otherwise useless attack. Likewise, Thunder is an option to hit Celesteela and Ho-Oh, but this loses out on more targets overall. Will-O-Wisp can be run over Toxic to hit Steel-types instead of Fire-types but being complete Primal Groudon bait is inadvisable and it's not as useful for crippling other support Arceus formes. Roar or Perish Song are usable on support Arceus-Fairy as well to get rid of setup sweepers and annoy Baton Pass teams, but leaves uninvested Judgment as its only way of doing damage. Calm Mind can also opt to run maximum Special Attack, but the extra power isn't nearly as useful as the ability to take on large threats such as Marshadow. Magic Coat on support carries some surprise factor and allows Arceus-Fairy to shut down Deoxys Speed and Smeargle but again leaves Judgment as its only way of doing any damage.
Checks and Counters
[Steel-types]: Support Arceus-Fairy is an easy switchin opportunity for Steel-types such as Solgaleo and Arceus-Steel, which can either set up or simply KO it with their super effective STAB attacks. Many support Steel-types such as Skarmory or Ferrothorn can also use the switchin opportunity to set or remove entry hazards. Earth Power can deal some damage to them, but it is too weak to even 2HKO most Steel-types and still does not help with Celesteela or Ferrothorn. Magearna can withstand a +1 Earth Power and steal Arceus-Fairy's boosts with Heart Swap.
[Ho-Oh]: Ho-Oh completely walls Calm Mind Arceus-Fairy, and only has to fear Toxic from support variants. It can deal back significant damage with its STAB attacks or cripple Arceus-Fairy with Toxic.
[Arceus Poison]: Arceus Poison hard counters all Arceus Fairy sets and can use the free turn forcing Arceus Fairy out to use any number of status moves it might run, including Defog, Stealth Rock, or Swords Dance.
[Trapping]: Arceus-Fairy has no way to prevent being trapped and KOed by Mega Gengar, as Earth Power fails to OHKO once Gengar has mega evolved. Gothitelle can trap and remove both variants Arceus-Fairy, although it may have issues with trapping Calm Mind sets if it switches directly into a Judgment or Calm Mind.
[Chansey and Blissey]: Due to their incredible special bulk and reliable recovery, Calm Mind Arceus-Fairy cannot break through either Pokemon without Refresh. Both can continually set Stealth Rock versus support sets without fear.
[Unaware]: Clefable and Pyukumuku can wall Calm Mind Arceus-Fairy permanently, as Unaware allows them to ignore its accumulated special attack boosts and either slowly chip away at it with Moonblast or cripple it with Toxic. However, incorrectly switching into support Arceus-Fairy sets can lead to being crippled by Toxic.
[Specially Bulky Pokemon]: Arceus-Fairy has trouble breaking through specially bulky Pokemon such as Primal Kyogre, Primal Groudon, and Alolan Muk, all of which can deal significant damage to it in return. However all can be worn down over time with chip damage and entry hazards.
