2023 Other Metas Tour Circuit

Hello everyone, the OM tournament circuit will return in 2023! The winner of the playoffs will be crowned the overall best OM player of the year and have the ribbon above added to their postbit. Tournament Details

OM Majors

OM Majors is a tournament divided into two stages. Stage 1 is a round robin with pools of 4 that lasts two weeks. Each pool will be provided a random set of metagames to play a best-of-3 from. The two players with the best records in each pool will move into Stage 2, which is a Type A, best-of-5, single-elimination tournament.

OM Grand Slam

OM Grand Slam is a two-stage tournament. Stage 1 consists of the Almost Any Ability, Balanced Hackmons, Godly Gift, Mix and Mega, NFE, and STABmons Opens. Opens are Type B, best-of-3, single-elimination tournaments where participants earn points in an attempty to qualify for the second stage; however, only each participant's best four finishes count towards qualifying. The 8 players with the most points at the end of all of these tournaments compete in the second stage, which is a Type A, seeded single-elimination tournament.

Both the Opens themselves and the Grand Slam Playoffs will count towards qualifying for the Circuit Championships.

Seasonals

Seasonals are Type A, best-of-3, double-elimination tournaments. There are six seasonals, one for each of the main tournament metagames. Seasonals are Type A despite being single-OM tournaments because they're the most reflective of each metagame's playerbase before the Circuit Championships.

Hi! Because the SV DLC1 was announced to release on September 13, and NFE Seasonal Round 1 is scheduled to start on September 11, the OM mod team has decided to delay the NFE Seasonal by one week in order to have the entire tournament perform its entirety in the DLC1 metagame.

TLDR:

NFE Seasonal signups go up September 10 now.
