Changes:

1v1 Majors will receive a format change! Instead of one round of pools, we will be going forward and implementing multiple rounds of pool format. While the specifics aren't ironed out yet and depends on number of signups - the plan is to have around 3 round of pools into single elimination. We will keep the points tie breaker system. We hope the changes make this tournament more fun and competitive. We will reevaluate the format after the tournament

The remaining tournaments will remain unchanged. As a reminder, VPNs remain banned, and Permabanned users are barred from joining team discords.

Any other change such as PL and WC slots will be communicated via the Tournament Policy Thread. If you have any suggestion or comment feel free to either post in the tournament policy thread, or in the 1v1 Discord, or DM me or Arai.

Re: 1v1 Global Cup.

luser deliberately made an alt "paleblue" and joined 1v1 Global Cup II on both accounts then reported himself. Therefore, Luser will be disqualified from the tournament on both accounts, and tourbanned for 6 months.

Ta-da! and like that the Official tournament schedule for 2023 is complete!

- As previously mentioned we have decided to keep Classic format the same for this year but we changed the gens to SS - DPP. We will be working on expending Classic into a full Old Gen Circuit that runs at the same time with the CG Circuit for 2024.

- We will also be hosting OGPL as a trial run and as it names indicates it's going to be a Team Tour focused on Old Gens (Slots TBD.) It will be made of 6 teams and 8 slots.

We have decided to postpone 1v1 Premier League VII. While this was a hard decision, we believe that it is the correct one to ensure a high level of competition for this iteration. With that being said, we have given the tournament circuit a reshape. Thank you for understanding the situation and for your coordination and we hope it will still be a fun one!

As DEG stated earlier, we've been working to get some of the dates here hammered out. Right now, this is our plan for the circuit. We're still working on things, but everything until LT should be pretty much done for now.

In addition, we have four new members on the Tournament Council: Arai, Elo Bandit, frostyicelad, and Mubs. This updated circuit could not have been finished without them.

Below is the circuit. Every tournament after LT is still tentative with regards to the dates. This should be finalized relatively soon. I will be updating the OP with the new dates soon.

Re; LT cycle 2.

After various reports, the 1v1 TD team and the hosts have received irrefutable evidence that tears and Scraftionite were getting boosted in the cycle two of 1v1 LT VII. therefore both will be disqualified from the tournament, and will be infracted, and receive a one year tourban.

re: Classic VII

After an investigation, the 1v1 TD team found out that ncalathes joined all the Cups under an alt, then tried to join as a substitute on his main account. Therefore, the alt account will be banned, and ncalathes will be 1v1 tourbanned for a year.

Instead of following some "unofficial" time between games, we have decided to include a timer of 7 minutes between two games in the same series. The timer can be lowered if there's a clear abuse and intent to annoy the opponent.

Because the first DLC for SV will be dropping 3 days after the planned date of 1v1 champs, it will have to be delayed by a few weeks. This is to have champs in the current metagame, allow for tiering, and to avoid the holidays at the end of December causing potential act decisions or interfering with prep. Champs will be starting on Sunday, December 31st instead of the planned date of the 11th
