Old Gen Premier League Announcements and Administrative Decisions​

This thread will contain information regarding the tournament and auction format, managers and their teams, rosters, and schedule. Decisions and announcements will also be communicated here. The second iteration of Old Gen Premier League will be hosted by Itchy and myself.

Important Rules:

1. Managers can have one Assistant Manager each.
2. Both the Manager and the Assistant Manager are allowed to selfbuy (price TBD).
3. Each team will have a minimum of ten players (eight starters and two subs) and a 100k budget.
4. Players may not be traded at any point.

Re: Signup format

It has been decided to include Tiers Not Played in the signup format.
It works in the same way as in SPL, meaning people are not allowed to play tiers put as Tiers Not Played.

For people not including Tier Not Played in their signups, it will be assumed that they agree to play any tier their manager could ask them to cover.

If you got any doubt on what this implies, feel free to reach out.

Quote from SPL

For the duration of the regular season, players are not allowed to play in the tiers listed as "NOT played" in their signups post. They will only be allowed to play those tiers starting in playoffs. We will be enforcing this rule for ALL players, regardless of price tag. This is intended to address price fixing and encourage players to sign up for tiers they are most skilled in, rather than attempt to reduce their auction price.

To be crystal clear: "Tiers NOT Played" will bind you from playing in those tiers, and you should use it only if you do not intend to play that tier under any circumstance for the entire regular season. "Tiers Played" is a non-binding field that you can use to communicate your preferences to all managers.

system used

• Each manager pair and the host team voted what they thought the other managers were worth
• They could vote a maximum 20k, a minimum of 3k, and increments of .5k
• Once all of the votes were gathered, the prices were determined by removing the largest and smallest proposed prices, then averaging the rest. Any value that was not exactly a multiple of .5 was rounded to the nearest one.

The auction date is still undecided, but should hopefully be coming soon

Situation: DripLegend missed the scheduled time and after being informed, the Naganadels failed to provide a sub in the appropriate timeframe.

Result: Frito will be awarded the activity win.

Inactive player:

The Snorlaxes will be exchanging 413X for kenny because they were below the minimum activity expectations of a team tour. Kenny will be allowed to sub in this week because the exchange happened before they sent in their lineup. 413X will not receive any punishment because the situation didn't involve any sort of sabotage or refusal to play.

After the double sub, this match did not happen. There was no manager ping and no act claim was made. The game is a dead game.

Re: AlyssaVGC vs Palestine

Situation: During AlyssaVGC vs Palestine series, Palestine went away for a long time between g1 and g2. When asking how long was allowed Alyssa got misinformed and then didn't call act and proceeded to still play and lose the series. After learning the correct rule and that she would have been eligible for an activty win had she asked for it before g2, Alyssa claimed activity win.

Result: On the basis that you would not be able to call activity if your opponent missed time and you still played, the activity claim will be denied despite the misinformation bit.
