Gold for:
Bruxish, Clodsire, Abomasnow
Used only these 3 Pokemon when climbing.
Thank god Chi-Yu is banned.

The team:
Bruxish @ Choice Band
Ability: Strong Jaw
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Crunch
- Psychic Fangs
- Wave Crash
- Ice Fang

Clodsire @ Black Sludge
Ability: Water Absorb
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Counter
- Amnesia
- Earthquake
- Recover

Abomasnow @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Snow Warning
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
- Blizzard
- Ice Shard
- Giga Drain
- Aurora Veil

Mon Choices:
Despite being low on the VR, these 3 mons are actually capable of dealing with most of the meta, covering a lot of each other’s threats. No meta mon can hit super effectively with their STAB on all three simultaneously. You have a special wall in Clodsire, physical wall in Abomasnow, and “fast” nuke in Bruxish.
Bruxish guarantees OHKOs on every meta Annihilape set, Farigiraf, and Skeledirge to name a few.
Clodsire takes on Flutter Mane, Electrics, majority of Scarf and AV Pokemon.
Abomasnow cruises through Donphans, Iron Hands interestingly enough, and Iron Bundle.

Set Choices:
As you can tell I’m complete ass when it comes to EVing, more often than not I run max 252 or I just run the slider along until it looks reasonable.

Bruxish was mostly useless. Strong Jaw was used over Dazzling, as Dazzling pretty much only matters for like Slither Wing and Prankster users, whereas Strong Jaw lets Psychic Fangs hit like a minivan (not a big van) and Crunch can actually OHKO Farigiraf and occasionally Gholdengo. Tried out an Agility Life Orb set for Iron Valiant but it wasn’t worth it, and the other two can finesse it decently enough.

Clodsire was by far the MVP of the team. Tried out set compendium sets like Band and Mental Herb but Black Sludge just seemed the most consistent. It beats a surprising amount of mons with max Def Counter. Water Absorb was chosen over Unaware because BELLIBOLT IS BROKEN.

Abomasnow was surprisingly versatile. Snow gives +1 Def this gen, which I only just found out, and I reckon most users wouldn’t know about this because Abomasnow is the only mon able to use this buff, being the only Ice Pokemon with Snow Warning. Beats a majority of physical attackers like Donphan, Haxorus, Chien-Pao.

trying for silver and panicking at this absolute unset of a team that’s somehow wackier than mine

The final game where bruxish actually did something for once

Shoutouts to XSTATIC COLD for introducing Weakness Policy Abomasnow to me and rightfully calling me out on being a filthy cteamer on ladder.
