    Ha, Robin who?

Don't even think about trying Sahin further forward. Dortmund beat everybody to that experiment already, and it failed horribly. Sahin looked like some lumbering fool with the footspeed of a dead goat. Gerrard made his name further forward in 08/09 anyway, and tbh, I personally prefer the 1 DM...

Szczesny, Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Diaby, Arteta, Cazorla, Walcott, Gervinho, Podolski. I think this all but confirms Song is outta here. Plenty of pace in the front line, but any lineup with Diaby makes me sick. I'd bet my entire wallet that he goes off within 30 mins and...

Meanwhile at North London.... D ‏@AFCAMDEN Alex Song has officially left Arsenal. Announcement expected over the weekend/monday. Via @TilleysArse. AFCAMDEN is as good as confirmation for us in Twitterland, so we're done here.

Eh, as long as we add another winger and M'Vila then I think we're still comfortably better than them. Different story if they get Sahin and we don't do anything else though. Surely Wenger has to tie up M'Vila if Song goes.

So in one week we lose RVP, get ever closer to losing Song, and now we're about to lose Sahin to a mid table club and resign Walcott out of all people. At least Wenger went out and bought 2 guys to replace RVP already this time, but he needs to reinvest the 24 mil fast. A winger and midfielder...

Bolt would probably end up like Cameron Jerome on FIFA. Insane physical stats, not so much on the technical side though. But damn, I'm almost at the point where I'd rather sell RVP and use the cash to rebuild the squad in other needy areas, namely left back and the wings. Especially considering...

Ramsey better not do a Gervinho. Thankfully he seems to have more balls than Forehead, and won't be burdened with a starting spot.
  12. 2011-12 Football/Soccer Thread

As far as I'm concerned Chelsea have no decent striker really. Sturridge must be one of the most overrated players around, he's like Walcott with a few more tricks but absolutely nothing resembling tactical discipline. Selfish almost to Robben levels too. Wish arsenal.com would hurry up and...

Been playing FM 07 lately. Feels good to use Henry, Lehmann, Gilberto, Toure, etc again, and to go back to the days when Rosicky was brilliant. Fabregas has been disappointing though, but RVP's already top scoring in the league for me.

Must be a ploy to make strikers laugh their asses off and miss when going 1v1 against Chesney. Speaking of kits, I just got the home kit today, dunno why but feels weird to have the Dutch/French(first time i saw it I was looking sideways so it kinda stuck) flag on both arms.

Not if we're gonna try to force him into playing left wing. I'd say let him and Giroud fight for the starting spot up front, loser can go benchwarm for a bit. Meanwhile, I'd say we sell RVP as fast as we can, and take the money to upgrade other parts of the squad. Don't really see a striker...

To restate Bild's headline when Germany drew 1-1 with Italy in a friendly last year: "Jogi, why can't we beat the Italians?" And like I said earlier, I hope to never see Podolski out wide for Arsenal unless it's an emergency. No actually, just make sure Walcott isn't on the other side. 2...

Kroos, Gomez, and Podolski aren't doing much. Gomez in particular. He's too static to help break the Italian bus. Klose is the complete opposite, they need him now. One of Reus or Schurrle also to inject some directness.

Lets go Germany. Time to banish the curse of Italy. Interesting role from Ozil, pretty much a free role.
