Despite its low Attack stat, Talonflame carves out a niche as a usable wallbreaker and potent stallbreaker. Roost keeps Talonflame healthy throughout the course of a game, allowing it to reliably act as an offensive check to threats like Ogerpon-H, Great Tusk, and Iron Moth. Bulk Up gives revenge killers like Dragonite and Choice Scarf Roaring Moon a harder time at attempting to revenge kill Talonflame while threatening to let it snowball out of control. Flare Blitz smacks Steel-types like Corviknight, Gholdengo, and Iron Treads, while Swords Dance provides greater damage potential, allowing Talonflame to threaten a 2HKO on Pecharunt and OHKO Dragonite from full HP. Taunt allows Talonflame to reliably act as a stallbreaker, preventing would-be checks like Well-Baked Body Corviknight, Unaware Scream Tail, and Deoxys-D from checking it, while Will-O-Wisp provides more utility, burning switch-ins like Garganacl, Primordial Sea Zapdos, and Archaludon. Talonflame requires support from Pokemon that can wear the opposing team down, so entry hazard setters like Great Tusk, Skarmory, and Empoleon are wonderful teammates for it. Talonflame's unimpressive bulk necessitates good teammates that can switch into revenge killers like Azelf, Barraskewda, and Hisuian Electrode; hence, the aforementioned hazard setters, Iron Moth, and Blissey all work as excellent partners for it. Talonflame also notably requires teammates such as RegenVest Swampert and Meloetta that can deal with Fire-immune Electric- and Steel-types like Well-Baked Body Gholdengo, Primordial Sea Zapdos, and Archaludon.

Roost keeps Talonflame healthy throughout the course of a game, allowing it to reliably act as an offensive check to threats like Ogerpon-H, Great Tusk, and Iron Moth. Ogerpon-H and Great Tusk. Iron Moth is a bit iffy cause of Discharge Bulk Up allows it to beat Garganacl one-on-one, and Not really? At +1 Garg still does 52-60% with Salt Cure and at +2 it's still doing 40-48%. In theory, your gonna run out of Roosts quickly. +6 Brave Bird also does 32% max to Garg. I also haven't even mentioned Iron Defense yet. gives revenge killers like Dragonite and Choice Scarf Roaring Moon a harder time attempting to revenge kill it. Flare Blitz smacks Steel-types like Corviknight, Gholdengo, and Iron Treads. I understand that is an alternative move, but it's still a STAB move so it doesn't require a mention. Taunt allows it to reliably act as a stallbreaker, preventing would-be checks like Pecharunt, I'm a bit iffy with Pecharunt listed cause Malignant Chain deals an average of 47% so your gonna run out of Roosts quickly. Unaware Scream Tail, and Deoxys-D from checking it, while Will-O-Wisp provides more utility, burning switchins like Primordial Sea Zapdos and Archaludon. Talonflame requires support from teammates to wear the opposing team down, so hazard setters like Great Tusk, Skarmory, and Empoleon are wonderful teammates for it. I'd mention Swords Dance somewhere, and give some calcs of what Talonflame can reliably 2HKO or OHKO at +2.

Taunt allows it to reliably act as a stallbreaker, preventing would-be checks like Pecharunt, Unaware Scream Tail, and Deoxys-D from checking it, WBB Corv is a more solid example of what Taunt achieves though I understand it's a pretty underused mon but it's a pretty awful MU otherwise while Will-O-Wisp provides more utility, burning switchins like Primordial Sea Zapdos and Archaludon. Potentially focus more on physical checks that are more relevant for Wisp like Garchomp (or mention Garg interaction) Talonflame requires support from teammates to wear the opposing team down, so hazard setters like Great Tusk, Skarmory, and Empoleon are wonderful teammates for it. Talonflame's unimpressive bulk requires good teammates who can switch into revenge killers like Azelf, Barraskewda, and Electrode-Hisui; hence, the aforementioned hazard setters, Pecharunt, and Blissey all work as excellent partners for it. You slash Swords Dance so give an explanation of its usage over Bulk Up/Flare Blitz. Might also be worth highlighting poor WBB matchups more though they are somewhat niche (Dengo, Zappy, Arch, etc)

Roost keeps Talonflame healthy throughout the course of a game, allowing it to reliably act as an offensive check to threats like Ogerpon-H, Great Tusk, and Iron Moth. Bulk Up allows it to beat Garganacl one-on-one not really sure how meta-relevant this is, and gives revenge killers like Dragonite and Choice Scarf Roaring Moon a harder time at attempting to revenge kill it. Flare Blitz smacks Steel-types like Corviknight, Gholdengo, and Iron Treads, while Swords Dance provides greater damage potential, allowing it to threaten a 2HKO on Pecharunt and OHKO Dragonite from full. Taunt allows it to reliably act as a stallbreaker, preventing would-be checks like Well-Baked Body Corviknight, Unaware Scream Tail, and Deoxys-D from checking it, while Will-O-Wisp provides more utility, burning switchins like Garganacl, Primordial Sea Zapdos, (add comma) and Archaludon. Talonflame's unimpressive bulk requires good teammates who can switch into revenge killers like Azelf, Barraskewda, and Electrode-Hisui; hence, the aforementioned hazard setters, Pecharunt, and Blissey all work as excellent partners for it how exactly does Pecharunt check any of the mention that particularly well?. Talonflame also notably requires teammates that can deal Fire-type immune threats like Well-Baked Body Gholdengo (could maybe specify steels as a whole since kingambit skarmory also run it quite frequently), Primordial Sea Zapdos, and Archaludon, so teammates that can threaten them out like RegenVest Swampert and Meloetta pair well with it.
