Yeah, I agree on everything. I am part of the speedrunning community, but there isn't enough interest there in speedrunning things like the Battle Tower (rules and runs here: https://www.speedrun.com/pkmnhgssext#Battle_Tower), so I posted hoping that there are more interested people here.

On pairings: I was paired down more than once and always thought it was due to my first win being an activity win (actually, rescheduled last-minute, but not played, against Mighty-Cannon who gained 0.5 points). So maybe the algorithm didn't "fully trust" that point? Idk this is what I thought
