    I think this is an especially good idea because Dynamax is disallowed in SO many formats (for good reason) that there are very few chances for the average player to learn these mechanics from experience before encountering them in e.g. Randoms.

    I think this could be addressed by having the client consider Mega Stones as Popular/Great Items when the active format is a MnM format. They aren't really Pokemon-specific items in those formats anyway.
