Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Beat the game twice thus far (and currently on my 3rd run). Really loving the game. First go around, I used Decidueye/Magnezone/Salazzle/Golisopod/Poliwrath/Drampa. First four mons were great, but 'Wrath and Drampa were pretty terrible. The former's strongest move was Brick Break (I didn't...

Just finished the game with this team. Here are my thoughts so far:
-Thori'dowl the Decidueye: My MVP. Got lucky with a Lonely nature at the outset and proceeded to win most of my major...
Doing one last run through of X before Sun/Moon drops.
Rhyhorn
Availability: Found in the 3D area of Glittering Cave from levels 16 to 17.
Stats: Rhydon's the textbook definition of a physical tank: its HP, Attack, and Defense are excellent, but are let down by his awful Special stats and poor...
Almost done with my latest run through of X. Gonna take the opportunity to reserve Bulbasaur, Golett, and Goomy!
EDIT: And done!
Bulbasaur
Availability: Lumiose City (gift from Professor Sycamore)
Stats: Venusaur is designed to be a Special Tank, with middling stats save for its Special...
This is the team I'm using in my most recent playthrough of X:
Lapras- Lapis Lazuli (from Steven Universe)
Snorlax- JustBigBoned (a defense Cartman used to cite whenever someone called him fat)
Delphox- Reynard (in reference to the medieval mythical fox of the same name).
Krookodile-...
I know this thread is effectively dead, but it bothers the hell out of me to see it incomplete. As such, I'll be reserving Kangaskhan.
EDIT: After actually catching one for once, I changed my mind to Snorlax!
EDIT THE 2ND: Gonna take the opportunity to reserve Lapras as well!
EDIT THE 3rd...
And that disproves my point how? You're still preventing the attack from going off. You can't do that with mega evolutions. And quite clearly they can ban mega evos, as you've already pointed out in your first reply.
Thing is, you can stop attacking and switching, or at the very least disparage it. With mega evolution, there's no way to prevent it, and more importantly, no real downside for doing so, other than the fact you're only allowed one per team.
With all the suspect tests regarding Mega Evos, why hasn't there been a blanket ban on the whole mechanic? It's basically a requirement to play with a mega evolving pokemon nowadays. Doesn't that count as a centralizing mechanic?
No mention of Assault Vest Goodra when thinking of pokemon that wall Zapdos? It'll have to run Ice Beam if it wants to do anything against specially defensive Big Bird, but Zapdos can do nothing back in return barring HP Ice.
Reserving Nidoking for now. Just picked up a copy of X a few days ago and have been having a blast!
Edit: Finally finished! Apologies for any mistakes, I'mpposting from my phone.
Edit #2: Been a long while since anyone's posted here, so I'll clean up this post myself
Edit #3: Fixed it again...
