[OVERVIEW]
Turtonator carves a small niche as a Fire-type on hyper offensive teams over the more commonly seen Charizard thanks to a great boosting move in Shell Smash, which allows it to outspeed most of the unboosted metagame, making it difficult to revenge kill reliably. An excellent STAB combination along with high-powered STAB moves and valuable coverage in Flash Cannon makes it incredibly dangerous after a boost. However, Turtonator is held back by its low Speed, meaning it will most likely take heavy damage before safely setting up. It also has issues breaking through many top defensive Pokemon such as Gigalith, Wishiwashi, and Jellicent. Along with this, even after a Shell Smash it is still outsped by the commonly seen Ribombee as well as Choice Scarf Pokemon such as Mesprit, and it will either have a drop in its defensive stats after a boost or take heavy hazard damage upon switching in, depending on which item it's using.

[SET COMMENTS]
Flash Cannon hits Fairy-types such as Silvally-Fairy hard and deals good damage to Pokemon that resist Fire such as Archeops and Gigalith without the drawback of lowering Turtonator's Special Attack. White Herb reduces damage Turtonator takes after setting up, but Heavy-Duty Boots can be used to avoid hazard damage upon switching in. One of Turtonator's best offensive checks is Ribombee, so partners that can check it are useful partners to have, such as Togedemaru and Doublade. Doublade in particular is also a great partner, as it can safely switch into Pokemon that can revenge kill Turtonator, such as opposing Lycanroc. Offensive Grass-types such as Thwackey and Silvally-Grass naturally scare out Water-types that otherwise check Turtonator, making them useful partners as well, while Frosmoth's natural special bulk allows it to safely Quiver Dance against Ribombee, and it can also set up on bulky Water-types that check Turtonator, such as Quagsire.

(I would add that one of Turtonator's best traits is its excellent STAB combo of Fire and Dragon, which combined with high powered STAB moves and Flash Cannon let it hit pretty much everything in the tier hard. I would also make a mention of Turtonator's Stealth Rock weakness and how its low Speed makes it prone to being revenge killed by scarfers even after setting up)

Fire Blast OHKOs many common threats, such as Togedemaru and Doublade (I think it would be useful to include a few neutral targets that Turtonator can KO at +2, such as Gallade after SR damage, a 75% roll, its pretty obvious that Fire Blast will roast Toge and Doublade). Draco Meteor allows Turtonator to deal heavy damage to Water-types such as Jellicent and Wishiwashi, who otherwise would counter Turtonator. Flash Cannon is valuable coverage, hitting Fairy-types such as Silvally-Fairy hard and dealing good damage to Pokemon that resist Fire such as Archeops, Silvally-Fairy, and Gigalith without the drawback of lowering Turtonator's Special Attack. White Herb allows Turtonator to remove the Defense and Special Defense drops after a Shell Smash, which allows it to take less damage after setting up. Alternatively, Heavy-Duty Boots can be used to not take avoid hazard damage upon switching in. One of Turtonators best offensive checks is Ribombee, so partners that can check it are useful partners to have, such as Gigalith and Togemaru Togedemaru. Spinners such as Sandslash help remove hazards off the field, which helps Turtonator set up safely. Offensive Grass-types such as Thwackey and Choice Specs Whimsicott naturally scare out Water-types that otherwise check Turtonator, making them useful partners aswell. (My personal opinion is that Doublade is also an excellent Turtonator partner as it can switch in on many of the things that revenge kill it, such as Ribombee and Lycanroc. I have also used Quiver Dance Frosmoth alongside Turtonator as it has great special bulk against Ribombee and Comfey and can very easily set up on Pokemon like Quagsire)

Draco Meteor allows Turtonator to deal heavy damage to Water-types such as Jellicent and Wishiwashi, who otherwise would counter Turtonator. don't need the first 2 sentences, when moves are just obvious STAB moves they don't need to be brought up at all. Start w/Flash Cannon. Flash Cannon is valuable coverage, hitting Fairy-types such as Silvally-Fairy hard and dealing good damage to Pokemon that resist fire such as Archeops and Gigalith without the drawback of lowering Turtonator's Special Attack. White Herb allows Turtonator to remove the Defense and Special Defense drops after a Shell Smash, which allows it to take less damage after setting up. One of Turtonators best offensive checks is Ribombee, so partners that can check it are useful partners to have, such as Charizard need something else unless u wanna fight for the zard mention, I really can't imagine running Zard+Turt firespam in this meta and Doublade. Doublade in perticular particular is also a great partner as it can safely switch into Pokemon that can revenge kill Turtonator, such as opposing Lycanroc. Spinners such as Sandslash help remove hazards off the field, which helps Turtonator set up safely. i think the main remaining issue is that these team options don't really acknowledge that turtonator is a HO mon. you might be able to fit it on sand but i wouldnt be emphasizing its need for spinners. I think there should be an explicit mention of "run this on HO with other offensive partners", then you can mention things like frosmoth or archeops. Could also drop a vanilluxe mention, aurora veil's nice for turt.
