[OVERVIEW]

- Genesect’s high base Special Attack, coupled with Download and a plethora of strong offensive options such as Flash Cannon, Flamethrower, and Thunderbolt, make it a terrifying threat dealing with top-tier threats like Kyurem-B, Mega Gardevoir, Mega Metagross, and Mega Gyarados.
- Genesect’s impressive Special Attack and decent speed tier allows it to run a Choice Scarf set which gives it many options against faster Pokemon like non-Choice Scarf Greninja and Garchomp with Fire coverage.
- Because of Genesect’s movepool, it is often troubled with deciding what coverage move it needs as it has many moves at its disposal.
- Additionally, Genesect’s severe weakness to Fire-types keeps it being as effective as possible, losing to popular threats like Mega Charizard X and Y, Heatran, and Victini.
- Pokemon with equal defenses such as Manaphy and Azumarill threaten it as they can invest in Special Defense to prevent Genesect from getting a Special Attack boost.
- Moreover, it faces stiff competition with other Steel-types like Mega Mawile and Mega Metagross as they have more bulk and cover the metagame better.

move 3: Thunderbolt / Ice Beam
move 4: Ice Beam / Flamethrower
item: Choice Specs
ability: Download
nature: Modest
evs: 40 HP / 208 Def / 100 SpA / 160 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

- Bug Buzz and Flash Cannon are Genesect’s primary attacks. With Download and a Special Attack-boosting nature, it can deal with many non-resistant foes such as Kyurem-B, Mega Gardevoir, Mega Slowbro, and Mega Metagross.
- Thunderbolt is Genesect’s preferred coverage move on this set being able to handle Mega Gyarados.
- Ice Beam hits Garchomp and Landorus-T super effectively, which otherwise wall this set.
- Flamethrower can be run for opposing Steel-types like physically defensive Registeel and Durant.

Set Details
========

- 40 HP and 208 Def provide Genesect with good physical bulk, being able to survive a Close Combat from Choice Band Terrakion.
- 160 Speed EVs allows Genesect to outspeed Gyarados and Smeargle.
- The rest of the remaining EVs are invested into Special Attack to increase its offensive capabilities.
- Alternatively, Genesect can run 184 HP / 216 Def / 108 SpA with a Bold nature to tank a Giga Impact from Mega Pinsir; or, you can run a spread of 44 HP / 136 SpA / 144 SpD / 184 Spe with a Timid Nature to survive a Hyper Beam from Choice Specs Porygon-Z, 2HKO, and outspeed Porygon-Z.

Strategy & Support
========

- Avoid sending Genesect against stall Pokemon and special walls like Mega Sableye and Chansey as it doesn’t have the tools required to deal with them.
- It's best to not send Genesect against Mega Mawile incase they are running Metal Burst.
- Send Genesect against other wallbreakers like Kyurem-B, Mega Gyarados, and Hoopa-U, as it can use its bulk to live their attacks and counteract with its respective moves.
- Try not to send Genesect against faster offensive nukes, like Greninja, Victini, and Archeops, as they are faster and have enough firepower to break through it.
- There are many Pokemon that can lure Genesect in with their Fire-type coverage like Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, Meloetta, and Togekiss, so it should avoid them.
- Taunt Mega Gyarados is an excellent partner for this set as it can stop roadblocks in Genesect’s path including stall Pokemon like Chansey and In return, Genesect can handle other offensive Pokemon like Mega Gardevoir, Choice Specs Hoopa-U, Serperior, and Mega Diancie.
- Mega Charizard X complements Genesect well as it can deal with opposing Steel-types like Mega Mawile and Magnezone. In return, Genesect can handle Water-types like Mega Gyarados and Azumarill.
- Mega Diancie pairs up well with Genesect because of its ability to handle one of Genesect’s biggest issues being Mega Sableye, and other Fire-types like Mega Charizard X and Y, Victini, and Heatran. In return, Genesect can handle Ground-types like Garchomp and Landorus-T.

[SET]
move 1: Flamethrower
move 2: Bug Buzz
move 3: Flash Cannon / Ice Beam
move 4: Ice Beam / Thunderbolt
item: Choice Scarf
ability: Download
nature: Modest
evs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

- Flamethrower tends to be excellent against opposing Steel-types like Mega Metagross, Ferrothorn, and Mega Scizor.
- Bug Buzz takes care of Psychic-types and Dark-types like Mega Slowbro, Greninja, and Hoopa-U, and Substitute users like Whimsicott and Deoxys-S.
- Flash Cannon is Genesect’s best option for dealing with Ice- and Fairy-types like Kyurem-B, Mega Gardevoir, and Mega Diancie.
- Ice Beam covers Dragon- and Ground-types like Garchomp and Landorus.
- Thunderbolt allows Genesect to take care of offensive Mega Gyarados and Talonflame.

Set Details
========

- Maximum Special Attack and Speed investment gives Genesect the optimal stats to take care of faster Pokemon like Greninja and Choice Band Garchomp.
- A Modest nature is preferred to increase the power behind Genesect’s special attacks in order to maximize Genesect's chances at 2HKOing Mega Slowbro, and running a Timid nature doesn’t help it cover any noteworthy threats.

Strategy & Support
========

- Try to avoid bulky and stall Pokemon like Mega Sableye, Mega Venusaur, and Chansey, as Choice Scarf Genesect’s damage output is lacking against them.
- Choice Scarf variants mainly rely on luring faster Pokemon that would normally beat it like Greninja and Garchomp with Fire-type coverage.
- It's best to not send Genesect against Mega Mawile incase they are running Metal Burst.
- Do not send Genesect against Sturdy Pokemon like Magnezone, Sawk, and Golem as they can all survive a hit and counteract it.
- Additionally, there is a vast majority of Pokemon which carry Fire-type coverage like Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, Meloetta, Mega Altaria and Jirachi, so it should be cautious when approaching them.
- Ground- and Rock-types like Choice Band Garchomp, Mega Diancie, and Mega Tyranitar are great partners for this set, as it can handle one of Genesect’s biggest issues being Mega Charizard X and Y, two threats that are extremely common and detriment Genesect’s ability to function well. In return, Genesect can assist them against some Water-types like Mega Gyarados and Greninja.
- Taunt Mega Gyarados is another excellent partner which creates a potent core with Genesect. Mega Gyarados adds additional offensive pressure against Dragonite, Mega Tyranitar, and Aegislash. Additionally, it can also lure several checks to Genesect being Sturdy Pokemon and special walls like Magnezone, Sawk, and Golem. In return, Genesect can deal with Fairy-types like Mega Gardevoir and Mega Diancie, and Grass-types like Ferrothorn and Serperior.
- Victini has very good synergy with Genesect because it can deal with opposing Steel-types and Psychic-types like Mega Mawile, Registeel, Meloetta, and Jirachi. In return, Genesect can deal with Ground-types like Garchomp and Landorus-T.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

- Genesect can run Douse Drive with Substitute for luring in Fire-types like Heatran, Golem, and having a chance of defeating Choice Band Crustle.
- Energy Ball can be run for dealing with neutral Water-types like Mega Swampert and Gastrodon.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire-types**: Fire-types such as Mega Charizard X and Y, Victini and Heatran, are the biggest threats to Genesect, as they can survive their attacks and OHKO Genesect with a 4x super effective STAB move.

**Stall Pokemon**: Mega Sableye, Chansey, and Registeel can easily take Genesect’s attack and counteract them by stalling it out or KOing it.

**Sturdy**: Pokemon like Crustle, Golem, and Sawk can survive a hit thanks to their ability Sturdy and use their powerful attacks to deal with it.

[OVERVIEW]

- Genesect’s high base 120 don't need specific base stats, meaningless w/o context Special Attack, coupled with Download and a plethora of strong offensive options such as Flash Cannon, Flamethrower, and Thunderbolt, make it a terrifying threat dealing with top-tier threats like Kyurem-B, Mega Gardevoir, Mega Metagross, and Mega Gyarados.
- Genesect’s impressive Special Attack and decent speed tier allows it to run a Choice Scarf set which gives it many options against faster Pokemon like non-Choice Scarf Greninja, Garchomp with Fire coverage, and Choice Scarf Togekiss. no, they live and ohko w/ a fire move
- However, Genesect’s severe weakness to Fire-types keeps it being as effective as possible, losing to popular threats like Mega Charizard X and Y, Heatran, and Victini.
- Additionally, it faces stiff competition with other Steel-types like Mega Mawile and Mega Metagross as they have more bulk and don’t have to rely on Download for boosts. Genesect shouldn't be relying on download for boosts in mus, bc most of the time you're assuming you won't get it. I think this should be its own point, talking about "Pokemon with equal defenses, like x y z, become less reliable, as optimally they will invest in Special Defense specifically to give Genesect a negative download boost"

also, you should mention that its vast coverage gives it a poor 4MSS issue

first off, switch the sets. Specs should be first set, its much more relevant

[SET]
name: Choice Scarf
move 1: Flamethrower
move 2: Flash Cannon
move 3: Bug Buzz
move 4: Thunderbolt / Ice Beam

talked it over w/ deg, we'd like the move order to be

move 1: Flamethrower
move 2: Bug Buzz
move 3: Flash Cannon / Ice Beam
move 4: Ice Beam / Thunderbolt

tbolt only realistically hits mega gyarados that aren't bulking for anything
252+ SpA Genesect Thunderbolt vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Gyarados-Mega: 164-194 (41.7 - 49.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO or 252+ SpA Genesect Thunderbolt vs. 180 HP / 0 SpD Gyarados-Mega: 164-194 (43.6 - 51.5%) -- 10.9% chance to 2HKO

big sad. They outspeed and ohko at +2

- Thunderbolt allows Genesect to take care of offensive Mega Gyarados and Talonflame. and Azumarill. not really, azu can run AV or band or liechi, plenty of sets that can tank tbolt and either ohko or ko after jet.
- Ice Beam covers Dragon- and Ground-types like Garchomp and Landorus-I just spelt Landorus

change the move order to reflect the new order

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

- Try to avoid bulky and stall Pokemon like Mega Mawile, make this its own section, talk about how Metal Burst can OHKO. Mega Sableye, Mega Venusaur, and Chansey, as Choice Scarf Genesect’s damage output is lacking against them.
- Choice Scarf variants rely on going against normally faster Pokemon like Greninja, Garchomp, and Terrakion. i would rephrase this and make it a point about how scarf genesect is supposed to lure in Pokemon that would normally beat it, then list examples.
- Do not send Genesect against Sturdy Pokemon like Magnezone, Sawk, and Golem as they can all survive a hit and counteract it.
mention that fire coverage is somewhat common in the form of Fire Punch, Fire Blast, Hidden Power Fire, etc etc, and threats like Meloetta, Mega Altaria, Jirachi and Choice Scarf Porygon-Z can run it and lure in genesect

Team Options
========

Additionally, it can also lure several checks to Genesect being Sturdy Pokemon and special walls like Magnezone, Sawk, Golem, and Chansey not sure if chansey is the best example for a mon mega gyarados can reliably beat. maybe mega sableye.

[SET]
name: Choice Specs
move 1: Bug Buzz
move 2: Flash Cannon
move 3: Thunderbolt / Psychic / Ice Beam psychic is literally useless, lop can just mega evolve a turn later and win, and venusaur doesn't rlly threaten you anyway
move 4: Ice Beam / Flamethrower
item: Choice Specs
ability: Download
nature: Modest
evs: 148 HP / 116 Def / 156 SpA / 60 SpD / 28 Spe holy fuck this is so bad not even gonna sugarcoat
232 HP / 52 Def / 196 SpA / 28 Spe these EVs do the exact same thing
252 Atk Choice Band Terrakion Close Combat vs. 232 HP / 52 Def Genesect: 288-340 (84.4 - 99.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ SpA Choice Specs Adaptability Porygon-Z Hyper Beam vs. 232 HP / 0 SpD Genesect: 289-340 (84.7 - 99.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

also, whats even the point of EVing for specs hyper beam? 252+ SpA Choice Specs Adaptability Porygon-Z Uproar vs. 232 HP / 0 SpD Genesect: 174-205 (51 - 60.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

196+ SpA Choice Specs Genesect Bug Buzz vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Porygon-Z: 277-327 (89 - 105.1%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO

You basically never KO and you're gonna be outsped and 2HKO anyway since you're so goddamn slow lmao.

I'm going to recommend changing this to EVs: 40 HP / 208 Def / 100 SpA / 160 Spe Modest Nature, which tanks banded terrak and outspeeds smeargle/gyarados

Moves

- Flash Cannon and Bug Buzz are Genesect’s primary attacks. With Download and a Special Attack-boosting nature, it can deal with many non-resistant foes such as Kyurem-B, Mega Gardevoir, Mega Slowbro, and Mega Metagross.
- Thunderbolt is Genesect’s preferred coverage move on this set being able to handle Water-types like Mega Gyarados and Azumarill same reasons as in scarf, tho you can beat AV azu w/ specs.
- Psychic is strong coverage, nailing Fighting- and Poison-types like Mega Lopunny and Mega Venusaur.
- Ice Beam hits Garchomp and Landorus-T super effectively, which otherwise wall this set.
- Flamethrower operates as a significant coverage move for opposing Steel-types like Mega Metagross, bug buzz would win since you're defensive Ferrothorn bug buzz would win v genesect, and Mega Scizor. same here, they won't threaten you w/ any move. Maybe Registeel as an example,

Set Details
========
change everything v

- 148 HP and 116 Def provide Genesect with good special bulk, being able to survive a Close Combat from Choice Band Terrakion.
- The Special Defense investment avoids the OHKO on Choice Specs Porygon-Z’s Hyper Beam.
- 28 Spe EVs lets Genesect outspeed Choice Band Hoopa-U and Magnezone.

- The rest of the remaining EVs are invested into Special Attack to increase its offensive capabilities.
I have a few defensive benchmarks you can include as alternative evs: 184 HP / 216 Def / 108 SpA with a Bold nature tanks Giga Impact from Mega Pinsir, with the rest put into Special Attack, whereas 44 HP / 136 SpA / 144 SpD / 184 Spe and a Timid Nature lets Genesect tank a Hyper Beam from Choice Specs Porygon-Z, and 2HKO, with speed to outspeed PZ, and the rest going into spa

Usage Tips
========

- Avoid sending Genesect against stall Pokemon and special walls like Mega Sableye, Chansey, and Registeel flamethrower? unless I'm mistaken, as it doesn’t have the tools required to deal with them.
again, mention metal burst mega mawile
- Send Genesect against other wallbreakers like Kyurem-B, Mega Gyarados, and Hoopa-U, as it can use its bulk to live their attacks and counteract with its respective moves.
- Try not to send Genesect against faster Pokemon offensive nukes, like Greninja, Victini, and Archeops, as they are faster and have enough firepower to break through it.
again mention mons w/ fire coverage moves.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

- Genesect can run Douse Drive with Substitute for luring in Fire-types like Heatran, Golem, and having a chance of defeating Choice Band Crustle.
- Energy Ball can be run for dealing with neutral Water-types like Mega Swampert and Gastrodon.
include a mixed choiced set physical coverage options that could be used to beat Pokemon that invest in spdef to beat normal genesect sets w/ examples

Checks and Counters
===================

Strategy & Support
========

- Avoid sending Genesect against stall Pokemon and special walls like Mega Sableye and Chansey as it doesn’t have the tools required to deal with them.
- It's best to not send Genesect against Mega Mawile in case they are running Metal Burst.
- Send Genesect out against other wallbreakers like Kyurem-B, Mega Gyarados, and Hoopa-U, as it can use its bulk to live their attacks and counteract with its respective moves. "...as it can use its bulk to survive their hits and counterattack."
- Try not to send Genesect out against faster offensive nukes, like Greninja, Victini, and Archeops, as they are faster and have enough firepower to break through it.
- There are many Pokemon that can lure Genesect in with their Fire-type coverage like HP Fire Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, Meloetta, and Fire Blast Togekiss, so it should avoid them.
- Taunt Mega Gyarados is an excellent partner for this set as it can stop roadblocks in Genesect’s path including stall Pokemon like Chansey. In return, Genesect can handle other offensive Pokemon like Mega Gardevoir, Choice Specs Hoopa-U, Serperior, and Mega Diancie.
- Mega Charizard X complements Genesect well as it can deal with opposing Steel-types like Mega Mawile and Magnezone. In return, Genesect can handle deal with Water-types like Mega Gyarados and Azumarill.
- Mega Diancie pairs up well with Genesect because of its ability to take on some of Genesect’s biggest counters, Mega Sableye and Fire-types like Mega Charizard X and Y, Victini, and Heatran. In return, Genesect can handle Ground-types like Garchomp and Landorus-T.

- A Modest nature is preferred to increase the power behind Genesect’s special attacks in order to maximize Genesect's chances at 2HKOing Mega Slowbro, and running a Timid nature doesn’t help it cover any noteworthy threats. only helps versus niche threats like Adamant Scarf Garchomp.

Strategy & Support
========

- It's best to not send Genesect against Mega Mawile in case they are running Metal Burst.
- Do not send Genesect against Sturdy Pokemon like Magnezone, Sawk, and Golem as they can all survive a hit and counteract it.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire-types**: Fire-types such as Mega Charizard X and Y, Victini and Heatran, are the biggest threats to Genesect, as they can survive their its attacks and OHKO Genesect with a 4x super effective STAB move.

**Stall Pokemon**: Mega Sableye, Chansey, and Registeel can easily take Genesect’s attacks and counteract them by stalling it out or KOing it.

**Sturdy**: Pokemon like Crustle, Golem, and Sawk can survive a hit thanks to their ability Sturdy and use their powerful attacks to deal with it knock out Genesect.

Yo PA only look at my post so u don't get confused.
Red= Elo Bandit edits which I approved.
For PA.

- Genesect’s impressive Special Attack and [remove] decent speed tier allows it to run a Choice Scarf set which gives it many options against faster Pokemon like non-Choice Scarf Greninja and Garchomp with Fire coverage. You already mentioned the high SPA in the idea above, just remove it here. Maybe add that it can also run Specs since it can be bulked to live hits.
- Because of Genesect’s movepool, it is often troubled with deciding what coverage move it needs as it has many moves at its disposal.
"Because of Genesect's substantial movepool, it often has difficulty deciding which of its many coverage options is best."
- Additionally, Genesect’s severe weakness to Fire-types keeps it being as effective as possible, losing to popular threats like Mega Charizard X and Y, Heatran, and Victini.
"keeps it being as effective as possible" doesn't sound quite right. How about "Genesect’s severe weakness to Fire-types keeps it from beating its direct counters, popular threats like Mega Charizard X and Y, Heatran, and Victini."
- Pokemon with equal defenses such as Manaphy and Azumarill threaten it as they can invest in Special Defense to prevent Genesect from getting a Special Attack boost. Just mention that Download can be countered, like I'd reword and add Meloetta too.
- Moreover, it faces stiff competition with other Steel-types like Mega Mawile and Mega Metagross as they have more bulk and cover the metagame better.
"...Steel-types like Mega Mawile and Mega Metagross as they have more bulk and cover more threats in the metagame."

PA Yo good job but before I stamp I need to give it another check via Discord. DM me after implementing.
Elo Bandit You seem to nitpick on grammar more than info, our job is to go through information first then if you really want to help you can do grammar. Can't blame you though since the analysis was kinda neat and had little errors. Nice job.
